Demolition Progress And Renovation Progress. Reports, Pics And Videos

We took the yacht from the marina last week so got a close look at the project. They still have a ton of work to do but I will say I've never seen a more busy construction site. It's really tough to get good photos because of all the fencing and the photo Steve just posted show much better details than the ones I snapped.

Same thing I thought when I was there in early May. It was like "Damn that's a crazy pretty job site". And I am used to seeing construction sites in the middle of the city, and nothing compares. Then looking around at other projects in the Cancun area it looked like there wasn't even anyone working.

 

It was crazy. Just tons of workers in a huge blocked off section. I also noticed lights around the site so I'm assuming they are working late into the day/night as well.

 

So I guess I called it way back when, by saying this is a special civic project and the family will get it done on time.

Funny how there are no negative, non-believing and naysayer posts now eh!?
All the keyboard construction experts seem to be quiet.

I never said any, so I am feeling pretty good I just stayed optimistic and said WWSS (would would Steve Say)

On a related note I commented on a post on facebook that Temptation put up. It was a picture of food and said "Set off on a journey of the senses, with always indulgent culinary experiences at one of 7 specialized restaurants, accounting for more than 15 cuisines from around the world"

I asked if all 7 restaurants will be open on the 15th and they said "That is the plan! " - Take that with a grain of salt, because I think that those and maybe the spa could be things that maybe wouldn't be fully functional.

 

Hey, I'll be okay with peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, as long as the alcohol is flowing. (And maybe a few nights free on next trip for the inconvenience.)

But, seriously, I'm optimistic and believe that there shouldn't be any major issues, such as restaurants, spa, gym, etc. closed.

 

I hope the spa is ready in September. My wife (and I) are looking forward to a Sensual Couples Massage.

 

Finally caught up on the last 10 pages! Thank you for the pics @Steve, as always they are perfect. Glad to see all our Mexican construction experts in the US/Canada/UK have shut up with the new round of pics! The progress is promising, trust in the plan! Can't wait for Octoberbreast!
