We are booked for Oct. 14-21 but have been waiting on flights due to the price...they have been running around $1,000 - $1,200 round trip for both of us for the last couple months. I use Hopper to watch the flights for me which is a cool app if you haven't used it before...I got an alert just a bit a go saying prices had dropped so I checked and they dropped a lot! Just booked round trip flights from Atlanta to Cancun for $595 total for both of us after fees and everything...huge decrease! Don't know if this helps anyone, but sharing just in case! Let's go October...get here already!!
Was planning to but the cheapest flights that popped up yesterday were on American Airlines. It was about half of what the flights on Southwest were.
Wish those October price drops would make it to DFW or Houston soon. Still pretty high compared to what we've paid in recent past.
That deal I mentioned above was actually pretty short lived it looks like...Prices have jumped back up a bit. Hoping prices will drop again for everyone's sake as the dates get closer but I feel pretty good about the rates we got.
