It is listed on the new premier document as "Beverage service in beach and pool areas". I couldn't see them getting rid of this. In fact when I was just at the other property (All Ritmo), the beverage service was for everyone at the water-park.
I understand that a few knuckleheads can ruin a good time, but it is disheartening to see the villainization of single males. Whether a resort is LS friendly or vanilla, they all seem to cater to couples and/or families with a wary eye placed on single travelers. In my opinion, if folks are so worried about being exposed to a "rogue male lion" (LOL), they should opt for those resorts that make provisions for couples only. Everyone is entitled to a vacation, and many of us single males are mature, high ranking professionals with significant amounts of discretionary income. Temptations Resort is not inclined to turn folks like us away. When you see us walking around the grounds alone, don't be the preemptive jerk who judges us without taking a moment to gain even a glimpse of our character. Having said that, see you all in September.
Age and maturity have a lot to do with it also. Most of the single guys we've been around at TTR and different resorts, who are above 30 or so, seem to have it together and are for the most part polite, and not "grabby". And actually it's my wife that has been the most vocal about the "boy groups" between the 2 of us. We've had a problem with a couple of younger "groups" of immature little boys, but nothing I couldn't handle. Just seems like the young groups are usually the problem. I think a lot of young males get the wrong idea about TTR before coming there. All 40 something year old women arent out looking for skinny boys with boy buns. Hahahahaha
Single males are great!! Single females are great!! Couples are great!! Basically amazing people create amazing times. Being open to connection, having manners and behaving in respectful ways should be everyone's focus. Follow normal social constructs, albeit adapted to whom your speaking, and everything works out great. Different strokes for different folks- find your kind of people and create your vacation tribe. These friendships can last a long time!!
It's not supposed to be a "couples" resort, It's supposed to be a fun atmosphere with hopefully open-minded people. I'm going in November and can't wait to meet all the fun couples and singles, single men for sure. Lighten up and enjoy your vacations! And if anyone is inappropriate that's when you have security take care of it so it doesn't ruin your vacation. Cheers!
I can remember the first time we ever went to Temptations, there were about 8 guys from Scotland. They were all seeming to be on the "prowl".... A few times one of them would be moving thru the pool going up to the girls that were with us, on how beautiful they were and just trying so hard. They didn't seem care when the girls would say they weren't interested or they were there with their husbands. Fast forward to two years later. The same guys from Scotland were there again, doing the same thing, but this time apparently one or a few did some big No No. They were being escorted out of the Resort. They were yelling something fierce in their Scottish accents. Quite the spectacle. All in All, the single guys that we have met were very cordial and we had a blast partying with them.
