Since it will be all new door hardware and such in the new tower I could see them pony up and replace the readers in the other rooms. They should have the door key be the wrist band like they do at many places.

Actually that was the question I had, if other newer resorts had a wristband system. As Ken n Lora answered that.... it wouldn't surprise me at all if they went that route as all, all inclusive resorts should.... TTR is in a perfect position to implement that system. I guess we'll see soon enough.

 

Someone just posted this drive-bye video on facebook. I took a screenshot where you can see the most. Looks like the middle section is coming along, and there is even some stuff I didn't notice before on the bottom right.

They like their wrist bands already. They could even go all in with it like Disney's 'Magic Bands'. They could have a scanner at the bar you put your hand in and it lets them know if you are a premier member and allowed to have bottled water or not

 

I was just going to say, Disney has been doing everything on a wristband for years now.

We had a friend try to arrange a lifestyle takeover at Disney's Pleasure Island a few years back before they closed all of the night clubs. They were having none of it!!! We thought he was bonkers for trying.

 

In the past there were quite a few people who talked about an open door policy. That would solve the whole key problem!
