Is it just me or does that pool look like it might be five foot deep? It looks like all the workers standing in the pool that the water would be over there heads.

 

It looks to be close to 5 feet to me not withstanding the tile.

 

I don't think so. If you look at the first picture in Steve's grouping you can see PVC pipes. They look to be just over waist level of the worker right next to them. Follow that same line further down to the other two workers, and that looks about the same height. I imagine that next level up going towards the hotel will only be a couple inches of water.

I think the perspective that makes people think it looks deep, and I've read it a few times , is the pictures of the bar, but the water will be well below the bar height.

Pool depth seems like one of the easier things to get right on this remodel.

 

I was wondering the same thing...even thought that maybe they'd forgo connecting them (to save $$)? Was just at Sens and both of their 2 towers aren't connected.

 

If you look closely on either side of the gap you can see the rebar for the support columns sticking up.

 

There was speculation that may be the elevator shaft.

 

Looks like they sized it wrong but same result. Still looks nice
