A project looks furthest behind the closer it is to being done.

Think about it using the garden shed analogy. You start out cleaning the area and creating your pad. Then you hated and sort your materials into piles and sections. With it like this the task looks daunting and you won't get done on time. Then you start. Up goes the frame, then the walls, window and door frame.
A couple piles gone. Still looks like a lot to do though.
Then roof goes on, shingles siding. These all go much faster than the frame did. More piles gone.
Then door goes on, benches built and... All done.

Consider how many interior walls have gone up in just a week. Now the "easy" part starts. The windows and doors and benches

And as has been said we see construction from our perspective where a house will take seven months to build. But then Extreme home makeover comes along and builds a house in seven days, all due to the size of the crew, a plan and organization.

Looks like they are going for the grand entrance like the newer hotels have on he strip. Will def get your attention! The old rooms are easy as you say, doubt they will do that much to them.
We own a 15500 sq ft bar with massive golf simulators. When we did our "soft opening" we did not charge as much for the usage of them. A soft opening is more of a trial run to get the kinks out, as we used that period of time to change some things. Hell we were still doing work on the place right up to the time we opened the doors!!!

Also, seems like slot of construction on that end of the strip. Is that a new mall being built between TTR and Cancun? Saw a massive building and could see the word cineapolis (prob spelled wrong).

Sounds awesome.

 

Close to 30 years in the business doesn't make me pom pous when I'm speaking from experience. Yes I'm not there and construction is different in Mexico than in north america and I've been wrong before. Only time will tell. Last thing i wanna do is get in an argument with someone i consider a friend.

 

Wouldn't be the first multi million dollar project to miss it its projected schedule. And they wouldn't tell anyone that far ahead.

For those talking about how they'd remove the tower crane once the towers were joined and wondering if the tower crane would be moved before the middle section was done....

There is our answer......the path shown in the video is where I'd imagine the crane parts would be removed then they'd join the tower to the old sections....

Check the video out....that would be my best guess.
