WoW .... I did not know there would be that many shafts at TTR !!!

 

We will be there in August and i am very optimistic that it will be just fine and i know that we will have a blast at this soft opening

 

I imagine there will be a bunch more photos from members in the next couple weeks.

 

This is great news only 7 floors and on schedule.

I think you are right Steve about the elevator locations starting. And thanks to Mario for the update. Looking at the other photos it looks like it will cap out at around 7 floors. Their tower crane looks like it's designed for about that and nothing higher. But it does look encouraging. Can't wait to see the new pool area as work moves forward. We need to get the lay of the land now before our October visit!

 

I wonder why the top 3 floors have been cut, glad they have as if full height, the sun would have been blocked looking at where the footprint lies now building has started. Maybe somebody in high places has realised it was never going to make the schedule unless it was scaled back. It will make the building look less imposing.

 

I was wondering if they ...

A) are not counting the bottom common area floors but then again there wouldn't be 5 done now per the latest pics
B) the artist rendering is wrong as there are 10 counting the bottom in the drawing
C) he is being overly optimistic?

I am guessing B. But I wonder what else is wrong? Maybe the towers won't end up connecting?

 

Just remember, artist renderings many times do not match the final product. Likely, change orders and tweaks have been made along the way due to factors like time, money, environment, future investments, etc.

 

That's the nice thing about tower cranes they can rise with the building buy adding lower sections.
