in February for a trendy room : Total Price C$5181.24 Including flight for both for a week. I paid 1000 $ less for 10 days to GP. à (I know feb is the most expensive time ). Taking into consideration I can book a direct flight for 2 for 900 $ including taxes and fee. so 5200 - 900 = 4300 /7 = 614.28 $ Per night The suit is over 8000 $ for a week. 1014.28 Per night. So not at all in my budget. Will see but I just hope for april it will come down otherwise we won't return.
Orbitz has 9 nights with airfare for two in mid-October for less than $2,400. So, prices are not too out of line yet.
We'd like to go over New Year's Eve (Dec 27 to Jan 2) but I can't find a rate below $519 USD per night (for 2 people) I've checked hotelscombined.com, trivago.com, trip advisor, apple vacations and alpharooms. (We book the flights separately as we usually use Frontier but they haven't published December schedules yet) As much as I'd love to be there for New Year's (I've never been at the resort that time of year) $519/night x 6 nights is too steep for us. *Maybe* as time goes on, and the "novelty" wears off, the price may drop.
Not a bad price and I would expect that when traveling from Florida or maybe even Texas, now for the rest of us more northern folks the airfare adds considerable more to this price, especially if you don't want to spend all day traveling. T
Just throwing this out there, you can book Temptations with Credit card points. We put every dollar we spend on Credit cards in the Chase program, never carry a balance, and never pay interest. We just booked for 5 nights 9/28-10/4 in the Lush Tower Ocean Front Suite using only points for both the room and airfare. The only cost we paid is the $250 annual credit card fees, and the airline tax of $80 dollars each, thus our whole trip adding $55 for transportation from the airport too and from the resort will cost us $465 total + tips. All you need to do this is some good credit and financial discipline. See you in October!
We have heard that Halloween week was sold out and October was filling up quickly so if you are wanting to go in October better to book early. Cheers, Chris & Tracy
