Hi, Looking to book our next trip. Has anyone used 'Sembo' to book? I see them on Trivago. We can't wait!
Check out alpharooms. We booked for Oct at $240 ocean view a couple per night. Garden view was about $200. Best price I could find.
Sembo is a "resell" I believe. We;ve used Alphrooms 4 times with no issues. Booked for Halloween this year, in Jan, for $214 a night.
Are you saying Alpharooms has better prices than member prices? I ask because I thought you guys were members.
We arent members, but have several friends that are. I dont say too much because people tend to get really defensive. So, to each their own. To be honest, out of 8 trips to TTR, (discounting 2 referral trips we went on to benefit our friends, and both were somewhat last minute, so in those 2 cases, were slightly cheaper), we have always paid less than members per night in the other 6 trips. We are fairly seasoned travelers, and shop diligently for prices. 2 years ago in April we paid $70 less per night. Saved us $630 bucks for 9 nights. Do you think those "perks" are worth $630 over 9 days? But yes, I can almost always find prices cheaper than member rates.
Thanks for the info. Still shopping...in the end, we'll be there in feb! I'll post if I find any 'deals'...not holding my breath
OK now you have me feeling a bit jealous, lol. To answer your question, no the perks are not worth $630 for 9 nights...maybe a couple of hundred but not that much, lol. I have never seen that much of a difference with casual looking but then again I don't scour the web either. Have a proposition for you. Can we hire you to get better prices than our membership prices? Apparently we get the same perks if we book through another site / agency including a room upgrade, if available, to our contract room type. Might pay for me / us to shop around more. Seriously though, I am glad that you find those great deals When we first got our membership nothing could touch the prices we got but that has dwindled over the years. Overall we have done quite well with our membership especially in the first few years on points for air fare through RCI. At the very least we have recouped half + our investment and still are chipping away at it albeit much more slowly now. We make the best of what we are dealt with and no use crying in our beer over what we could have been done differently.
Hmm... I completely mistook the point of this thread. I thought it might be somebody posting live feeds online of what was going on in the rooms at the new TTR or something.
