I think Lenny said many times the old sexy pool had some sort of heat exchanger working. It certainly was way warmer than GP's pool, and we went the same time in two different years.

I wonder if a large pool holds its heat longer, or gets cooler quicker? Anyway a cold pool would be horrible.

A larger expanse of water will hold it's temperature longer, and be slower to warm up and slower to cool down. That's why the ocean is warmer than the pool in winter, and cooler than the pool in summer.

The rumored heating of the pool previously was never known for sure. It was alleged it was some kind of heat exchange between the aircon system and the pool. When a lot of people had their aircon on 'warmer water' was generated that was apparently exchanged with the cold water of the pool.

Of course, this could only happen if the ambient air temp was warm in winter which isn't that often, otherwise few would be using their aircon to generate sufficient warm water to make a difference. Any temperature effects due to that would be shortlived in any case due to the pools small volume of water that is affected much more by the ambient temperature than a small volume of slightly warmer water pumped into it.

    Some thoughts -

Desire RM just built 4-ocean front two story suites. It took about 4-months from demolition to opening.

The construction was done so poorly all 4 units have been completely gutted down to the bare concrete structure less than 3-months after opening.

I sure hope TTR takes their time, hires skilled workers, and does not rush things to just end up with unhappy guests and more problems.

But they sure are nice rooms.
Matter of fact, 4 Thursday nights ago, we invited by a 'Big Player' leader of the incoming takeover group, to his suite with the infinity pool on beach for an all night party, with private chef and bartender.
Must've been 60 ppl in that suite.
Much too much $$$$ for our CanBuck blood
    But it was nice.

I don't think he's taking inconsideration of the heat in Mexico! Concrete fully sets as it's poured!!! LOL
Don't know anything about concrete setting but I doubt that they follow the same standards as the U.S.o_O

The new website says heated pool. So I thought maybe they would heat the sexy pool but not the quiet pool. In early Dec you need a little heat in the pools and sometimes I like a little time at the quiet pool to regroup.

A heated sexy pool would be awesome!! The one huge drawback about going in December is once that sun sets (early!) that pool cleared out fast due to it often being cold. Either you were drunk and didn't notice, or you were freezing. LOL. Would love to see the sexy pool party last longer in December like it did on our June trip. I think it would be worth it.

Yeah. Saw that too. But if heating the pools previously wasn't much of a priority then I doubt they are going to redo the quiet pool so it has heat. With the new pool, where they started from scratch, possibly it was easier so they added it. We stopped going in Feb and a heated pool and/or community jacuzzi sure would help us consider that time of year again.
