Yep...you are right No Fireball at Desire.....unless you want to buy a bottle. And as you say....Grey Goose no problem or Liquor 43 But cheap Fireball...nope .....gotta upsell that. But to be fair...that list is lacking any American/Canadian whisky or bourbon
Fireball is difficult to replicate. I've tried a knock-off version and it just doesn't taste the same. Call me a pessimist but maybe it's something to do with the fact you can easily mix good and 'cheaper' spirits to keep costs down when it's straight spirits, but Fireball is more of a liqueur, with a very distinct flavour and consistency. You can't fake it. Same with Red Bull.
To be fair, Fireball is not easily found in Cancun and when you can find it it costs around $25 USD. We buy a bottle for every Boobs Cruise when possible. The hotel probably get a better price wholesale, but the fact it's rare retail suggests it's probably not that abundant wholesale either - especially at the volumes that a hotel chain might need.
It would be great if they could expand the bourbon selection to at least Makers & Knob Creek. Asking for anything small batch I'm sure would be too difficult to find. Jack, Beam, and Crown are always stocked.
Maker's added to the lineup would be great and so would a Tullamore, Red Breast or Paddy Irish whisky
Some Maker's would be great at TTR. We usually bring a bottle, it's nice to sip on before the party gets started. And @Steve don't worry about Fireball on the Octoberbreast BC, we have that covered!
We just brought a bottle of Crown and Hennessey with us from the duty free before we left Houston. Kept them in the room and those that visited really appreciated.
They have Jameson - but like you I much prefer Tully. So long as the mini-beers, Xtabentun, Campari and the national drink of Argentina is flowing I keep pretty happy!
I will take Tully over Jamieson all day. I do like Paddy as well, but then again Paddy is owned by Sazerac, makers of Fireball, Buffalo Trace, Southern Comfort and many others. And they are generous friends of HnH.
