I betcha you're not going to give a care for anything else if Montreal is anything like the first Toronto party. And we'll be there to help!
We've returned from the Bliss Cruise, and have to say that we will almost certainly not go on another. While we liked the idea, and had fun, we just didn't have near as much fun nor meet as many new people as we do on a trip to TTR. And despite the lifestyle concept, we typically see more debauchery on a Boobs Cruise. That said, I'm sure a lot of people had a great time, and maybe some of the others who went on the cruise can chime in with their experiences as well.
Was it not full? Or did people keep to themselves? Or was it just not an easy environment to mingle? Or maybe the craziness was behind closed doors?
The ship was full. And people did mingle. But it's nothing like Temptation, where 90% of the mingling occurs at the Sexy Pool during the day and at PatyO's at night. On the ship, the "pools" were little more than bathtubs (and cold), and at night, there were various options for nightlife. You would often see people one day and not see them again for the entire cruise. For sure craziness was happening in rooms, both private and in the playrooms. But there wasn't the same sense of a party atmosphere as we're used to at Temptation.
Got back from Bliss last week. Here are my thoughts First off Pricing 2400 for balcony room and another 689 for liquor package for 5 days. Compared to TTR even at the new prices... well lets just say wow a little pricey. Clothing optional pool (while not at port) was not utilized by very many. The upper sun deck many more people where nude but they where also just laying out not real chatty. The best part was the solarium pool it was my fav with the roller beds. Steam room in the men's bathroom was great. (hehehe) The pool party was pretty...ok not TTR great but still fun. There where several games everyday with prizes like 2 night 3 day at Desire or Hedo Playrooms, active on most nights and they where all over the boat. The play rooms seemed to start up at night at least from what we saw. They did events in different parts of the boat and in one of the playrooms one night and that was fun. Lots of dancing horizontal and vertical everywhere. The Playroom set ups where great and they did set up and break a couple of them down every day. People where really great, we meet a lot of people and everyone was very nice. Just like at TTR we have made friends that are for life. We only went to one show but she was strait up hilarious. Cant remember her name but it was something about dominatrix of ditty. They also offered speed dating the first 4 days of the cruise. It was really fun, I needed to learn how to talk to people a little easier so that actually helped out. We both really liked that. Djs and parties where all pretty good not really our scene but still fun. On to the boat: Room was nice and clean. Micheal the butler(?) was great. Tons of storage everywhere and LOTS of hangers. I brought extra hangers but ended up only needing a couple and not using most of the ones I took with us. Food, to say the least it was lacking absolutely the least favorite thing of the trip was the food. Omelet station was SOOO SLOW with 4 people working and never a line more then 5-8 deep that we saw. We do omelets every morning at TTR and love the selection of things that you can get on them. Well not so much on the ship very basic and mediocre. Fruit on the boat was the same everyday melon melon melon and pineapple. I was very excited when we went into Progreso on our first stop. There was a large open air market with a ton of fruit and I picked up some stuff to eat as we walked around town. Lunch again was there so that was nice. You could get hamburgers and hotdogs everyday by the pool so I am sure that was nice but again the line always seemed so long. The lunch buffet was blah. Dinner was not bad and if you wanted to splurge to eat at the special restaurants they might have been nice. I heard they where very good. The bars, all the bars, Omg so many bars. They had several traditional bars all over the boat but because we obviously drink A LOT they had temporary bars every where. The temp bars did us literally no good and most of the regular bars where also useless. We had purchased the middle grade Liqueur package and where limited to 1 decent tequila (which is all I drink) so whenever I wanted a drink we where walking to one of 3 bars to get it. So of course that tequila was at the three busiest bars so there was always a wait. Someone actually commented on how stupid all the people where in line waiting at the main bars because they had all the little bars around the boat. Then I told him why and he said well that's stupid not to have a larger selection. Granted I am pretty sure no one else was drinking what I was on the boat. I watched all three bottles we where drinking from go down the exact amount we where drinking. lol Staff: Overall service staff was adequate but not great. Some people really that the service was spectacular but those people have never been to TTR so they don't even know. It was almost impossible to get service at the table at the buffet. All drinks had to be gotten by us. It took me 4 nights of getting my drinks from one person for him to actually remember I order 2 tequila and club with lime. He only remembered that cause the night before I flirted a little. I was tired of ordering and he was pretty cute lol. Its one thing if the bar is busy but this bar was not busy and they always had at least 2 of them behind the bar. It was just such a let down. Anyway all in all we had a great time. Would we do it again? NOPE would I recommend it Yes at least once. Make your own mind up on these things and stop taking everyone opinions you may love it like so many others really did.
How was the nighttime party-vibe? Anyone want to chime on this? There's the weird rule about tops optional in bars... is that all bars, or just the "nightclubs" on the ship, what? Up on deck, are people really just lying there in a coma and not talking? Stacia can fix that at least in our immediate surroundings.
Thanks everyone for commenting on how the cruise was. We've always wanted to go on one and this helps us to decide what to do. I kinda feel sorry for the Bliss Cruise having to be compared to TTR!
