Looks like there is interest to meeting up on Thursday. We are also staying at the hotel. When it gets closer we'll all figure out what time to meet in the hotel lobby/bar if that works for everyone?

 

Sounds like it'd work! Le Toit Rouge... (You've got to be kidding me... is it actually translated from French to English as "The Red Roof?") seems to be the name of the bar, perhaps unfortunate happenstance confusing this mind with The Red Roof Inn, a quite humble stateside accommodation/location....


Still, it's a port! Well, actually a hotel bar and serves as a base of operations!

Question... who's possibly in for a pub crawl thing in the party zone in Montreal, maybe? We could get some support from a local Montreal-ite to indicate where to start and stop, better yet to come with a group of us? Might be a good time.

So, maybe a hotel bar meet time at around 6 to 7 pm local? Just an idea...

I am from Montreal and can help facilitate the Thursday party. I think for our group we have 2 options:

1) Restaurant Doca, room for 32 at a table or 45 for drinks. We can reserve the private room. Here is their website, Restaurant Doca | Mediterranean restaurant in Montreal This is a nicer establishment but they like to party.

2) Winnie's in the Sir Winston Churchill Pub Complex. We can take over the whole dining room at 76 seats plus they have 3 bars and room for 100 others or so. They have 3 floors, bottom floor is for kids, middle floor is for us and top floor opens around 10:00-11:00 and is mostly kids. I think the middle floor will work best. They have 2 for 1 from 5-7.
