We've been to Temptation and are excited to return post-renovation. We're contemplating splitting our trip a bit and doing a few days at Desire RM and then on to Temptation. Help: what are your thoughts on doing Desire prior to the Temptation visit or after. We haven't been there before but thought it might desensitize us to being so out of our element that maybe we'd have even more fun at Temptation? Theory and conjecture aside, I could see it as a potential cool down at the end of the trip as well. We have NOT been anywhere like Desire but are interested to see what it's about. Also, does anyone know how to set up transfers for something like that or if it has to be done manually/individually?
I'm sure people with more experience will weigh in but I asked the same question this last year. The response I got was go to Desire second. It allows more relaxation and to come down out of the fog from your time a Temptation. We decided to not split our trip and instead went through the Temptation timeshare presentation and took a day pass as our gift. It was our first time to experience anything like that too. We loved it and definitely will be going back and really didn't want to go back to Temptation for our last 2 days. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
If you are a member ask the resort for a day/night pass to desire! Last year we took. Big group over to experience it. Didn't have to pay extra or anything. It was a ton of fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We always split our trips - first half at TTR and finish off at Desire. We find TTR wild/crazy/frat party fun. Desire is sexy/sultry/seductive fun (def more laid back). We love both and will always do both.
We have split our trips many times. I would definitely go TTR first and Desire to follow. Steve can help you set up the transfers. He has helped us a couple times without a hitch.
Hi, We split our trips with Desire at the end for rest & relaxation, by comparison to the party at TTR. RM is about twice as many rooms as Pearl & Pearl has 78 I think. By comparison TTR is over 350 rooms, I believe. We like to party & socialize all day & dance all night at TTR and we've seen it step down a few notches on momentum at the Desire resorts on week days. However we've watched folks roll in on Thursdays through the weekend & it then gets hoping for foam parties and evenings. Now with TTR closed for reno both Desire resorts might be full & very busy by past comparisons. Try it out for a few nights & watch for occasional deals on stay for 4 nights but only pay for 3.
In August we are doing Desire Pearl then TTR but that is because it is our only option. Desire has a music fest the 10th-13th and TTR opens on the 15th. Otherwise we 100% would do TTR first then Desire. Although the party does amplify especially at Desire on the weekend. So would try to time it so you 'finish' at Desire on the weekend, literally
My wife and I split our time between Desire Rm and breathless back earlier this month. That said, I don't think we will be changing resorts midway through a trip in the future. Having to check into one resort, then pack up the room to check out, just to check into another resort, and having to pack up the room again was a hassle. If we were just going from one hotel to another, that'd be one thing. But the checking in and checking out process at these resorts takes more time and is more intensive than simply getting a room key and leaving when you're done. Plus, going through that headache on a few hours of sleep with a hangover didn't help the situation! That said, if you're going to do it, I agree with what others have said... TTR first, Desire second.
