Have not seen any official updates on if there on schedule,, but it does look like progress is being done. Sept is considered in the soft opening period so all rooms/facilities may or may not be ready . The prices do reflect that.
Just realized we never added our dates to the grand reopening thread. Booked for August 15th and 16th in luxe tower suite. Going to Desire Pearl first. If it doesn't open on time then hopefully we can just stay at pearl but sure sounds like we will be fine. Doesn't seem like a ton of people are committing to the grand reopening yet. Don't be scared. It will be fun to be the first to have sex on the balcony, to get told to put their clothes back on and to pee in the sexy pool (just kidding on the last one, chill) ha
So has anyone who has booked First Week already booked flights? I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on this part of the deal. I'm confident whatever is ready by August 15 will be open, but there's still that little voice in my ear that is telling me not to seal the deal...
We're going the 17th to the 22nd. As soon as Southwest extends their booking out to the end of August and some kind of decent price, we'll book. Of course, they let you cancel or change without a fee... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
We are booked the first week and haven't booked flights yet We will call a taxi 20 mins before we leave. Sorry Tom, couldn't resist. I've always said it's going to be ready and am still confident it will be. Maybe not 100% with all restaurants and rooms fully functional - hence the 'soft opening'. But plenty enough to accommodate those who are booked. After all, who can resist saying "I was there for the reopening" ?
Have not. Thinking march or April. Price shouldn't go up much if any between now and then. And we should have a much better view of progress at that point.
We're already book through Premier for 8/17-24. Of course, we haven't paid yet. But I've been THINKING all along just like Steve has. I'm pretty sure they'll open August 15th. Not everything may be complete and functional, but the resort should be open to guests. The problem for me is "pretty sure" is not "100% sure." This being said, I'll probably bite the bullet, anyway.
