Hi everyone! We're so exited about our second visit to TTR and even more with all the expectations regarding the 2.0 version. We're already booked for one of the Seduction Beachfront Suites (Nov 5-12), but after booking we got in touch with TTR people and we realized that room isn's in the new tower. Of course all of them are gonna be great and in "brand new" condition, but as we're going celebrating our anniversary we'd like to stay in the new tower to live the whole new experience. We've been told by the TTR people the rooms in the new tower are: - Bash tower ocean view (88) - Lush tower oceanfront (13) - Master suite (8) - Penthouse (2) The thing is, looking at the referential pics they have on the website and considering the number of each of these rooms, it's kind of impossible to make the match... ¿Do you guys have some extra information about it? Thanks a lot and see you in November!!!
I would stay with the room you have . The existing ocean front suites are at the far end in the quiet area,, if thats what you want .( new ones ?? ) Tower rooms may or may not be ready in Nov. Not too much info on the rooms yet , there not built ,, most pictures are artist conception and not real .
Thank you Donald! Actually we're not necessarily looking for a quite place, in our first trip (April 2016) we stayed facing right the Paty'O and it was wild and extremely fun, but as you say it could be wise to keep the reservation in the old rooms which are gonna be ready first... Crystal ball needed here! Cheers
I'm sure any of the new rooms in the tower will be nice and they should have a great view, but that is really secondary to many who go to TTR. It was ALWAYS about the people. You just can't beat the outgoing, fun-loving atmosphere, and that was created by the guests. Some people used to seek out the rooms with a jacuzzi, but that was often for entertainment, which again leads back to the party atmosphere with other people. We always stayed near Paty-O's for the convenience. Oddly enough, we stayed in room 2103 four different times just because it was our Mexico home. Not because the ventilation dripped a little, the sliding glass door never closed all the way, or that I had to borrow some tools and screw the shower door hinge back into the wall before they found out Stephie broke it by falling through it one night after too much partying. There will always be a better room, better view, more space, etc, but I don't think it will matter much to you for long. It will be the people that you are likely to remember most. To many of us the room is just a place to put your stuff, stay, and hopefully play. Choose any of them. The real charm of TTR is found outside any of the rooms in the welcoming smile of other guests, some of whom you will likely be counting as dear friends long after you leave. And you can find that from any room between the street and the beach.
You couldn't say it better, Jnine, it's just like that. We've never been in another resort where guest and staff are so in love with and it's for the people, the mood, the freedom and everything we all know. Even in a tend we'd be great while it is close enough to the sexy pool!
I don't care too too much about room, but it is important to me. I am hoping they open up on time and have the tower ready, and we are able to upgrade too it. Guess we will just have to wait and see as it gets closer.
I'll be interested in checking out the tower rooms and view, but it's not important for us to stay there. We'll be happy in any of them. We have enjoyed the garden level rooms in the past because it's easy to meet and mingle with the neighbors out the back door. Hopefully that will still be available or something fairly close to the new Paty-O's or wherever the night time parties are held. I suppose there will always be the loud areas that might really interrupt some peoples sleep, but they are OK with us.
Anyway you look at it we are going to miss the rooms that were around Payt'O for the convince. As far as the tower rooms if I got a deal I might consider it but we were always happy with the garden view class room and continue to book them. T
Hadn't been on in almost two months and actually spent 3 hours last night reading thru posts trying to figure this exact question out. No luck. So today I spent several hours on various booking sites including TTR as we want to try out one of the new rooms for the opening. Yes, we are aware there is a risk they may not be ready but it is a risk we think is worth taking. If not ready then we will continue our stay at Desire Pearl where we are going first for the annual Sexy Young & Wild Music Festival. So here is what I learned...
