Just spoke to Travel Republic who were not very helpful. The "Free Wifi" means it's available lol The artist impression may not be the room you get lol I started to argue the toss with the sales rep but thought it was a waste of both our times. AlphaRooms (who I've booked 3 times before with) are quoting £179 PN and may just take the leap for the 21st October. Leaving on the 28th so will miss Halloween fun Everyone sure the new sexy pool will be open by then?
So planning a trip back with the same friends I went with last time. We ended up buying the membership. However we are looking to go mid September and the prices he found on bookit.com were fairly close to what I'm paying at the member rate. So it's not even worth him and his wife using my referral. What are the benefits of my $12k membership if he's getting a deal only $100/200 more than I am?! :-\
Makes it difficult when you can go places that they can't unless they have same bands as you do. They can't get premium liquors, they will have to pay upgrade prices on some of the food items, etc. Most people work it out but it's just easier when you are with people that have your same perks. However, I do agree that TTR needs to do SOMETHING about this price structure.
Yeah but they only drink the liquors that are provided. I typically stick with captain Morgan which I was getting before upgrading. Food items really isn't much of a perk, and sure we will have chairs we won't have to fight over. I was made to believe it'd make it chapter. Meh. Oh well I'll still be there often
The "perks" are way overblown IMO. Its used as a selling point for members, so, ok. I dont knock em' for trying. LOL We've used Referrals a couple of times based on price only. Thats our only concern. Based on current prices, Id be PISSED if I were a member. $207 a night on Expedia as of last night. Has been as low as $190.
Yeah, it seemed like a solid idea at the time, with us wanting to make this a 2 times a year trip. Figured, it'll save us money in the long run. But prices are about the same right now. Plus they are awful at responding to emails. Really now feeling like we got screwed. But, like I said, we'll still be there
( non member here) Some of the prices being quoted right now do not reflect reality ie ,, expedia prices ( Sept, early Oct) are for soft opening Member prices are for ''after reno'' which are fixed and do not reflect the soft opening period . Nov prices may make Members feel a little better . Just my observation. as for referaal rates ,, I have not checked those .
From what I have seen for member prices I am PISSED, lol. Checked Expedia.ca this morning and Trendy ocean view room was something like $347 CDN a night...so I am feeling a little less pissed
