RCI members who in the past when booked Temptations through RCI were placed in the Premier wing. (No other Premier benefits given) Going forward, will they still be booked into the Premier area?
The first time that I went, I was able to order a ribeye. The following year there was an additional fee for it. That fee was more that they cost back home. I realize it is an attempt to get guests to become members, but I should be able to eat steak for dinner without paying extra at an all inclusive reasort. (Its not like a lobster tail, or top shelf wine) If I come back, will I be able to get a decent steak for dinner without being charged an arm and a leg?
I feel like some of these questions (and many more on facebook) are membership related. As Steve pointed out Mario Cruz is the Concept Manager of Original Group. Just think about that title for a second....I feel like questions related to the atmosphere, games, night events, stripper shows, what's up with the dude playing the saxophone at the restaurant pics, and future environment are going to be easier for Mario to answer. Our membership questions are never answered clearly, and I don't Mario is going to put himself at risk trying to answer them. I really feel we are just going to have to have a 'wait and see attitude' with this, and keep our fingers crossed. They don't even give people honest answers when in the presentation, and we would be delusional to think we are going to get them now.
I have to agree with you to some extent on this and completely with what Steve said in the thread http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/35894-article-ttr-management.html But Mario is management just the same and must have some ears outside his current purview with the rest of management. It would be nice to know that in the future: 1) Will sales reps reflect management's position / views in their presentations and not just say anything to close a deal? 2) What is being done to ensure current members will still receive the benefits of their membership, how, if at all, will they change and what will those benefits be when TTR reopens? Yes we do have serious concerns on how the concept may change and how it will be implemented (same fun pool side games, atmosphere etc). For some a radical concept change could be a deal breaker but many members have sunk sizeable $s in to their membership and want to know if they will retain the benefits that made them become members in the first place. As much as I hate to say it the almighty $ usually wins in the end over other changes. Mario may not have the answers but I think these questions and others need to be addressed and could be asked without making the interview come across as an "inquisition".
Concept is a main concern as some have highlighted: 1) Plans for keeping the party vibe vs trying to mute it (this is a deal breaker) 2) Late night bar/bbq (burgers) still open? 3) Later opening for pool/tubs 4) Agree on killing reservations (just went to GP...no such thing as reservations) 5) We can see the prices are going up...what added value are you getting especially if you're not staying in one of the brand new rooms? Thanks Steve for getting our input
Have n fun I've been going to blue bay/TTR for a long time and the vibe is second to none, but for one I don't think should allow total nunidy except at funky games and some crazy times that always happens if somebody wants to walk around nude go to Desire u can do all u want to I'll bet u 80 to 90 percent don't want complete nudity, believe me the wife and I love to party and yes sometime get naked during some crazy games, just had comment on the situation we're already booked for Halloween and new yrs Thx Mike and Priscilla
The discussion going on on Nudity is strictly hypothetical,, location and closeness to well traveled public beach and Marina would never blend well with nudity .
My wife would tend to agree with you. She absolutely doesn't mind being seen in the buff. But for her the, getting away with it, Is the FUN. If were to be the norm, she wouldn't enjoy it as much. Not saying that having a secluded area like the old cigar bar area designated as a C O area with a plunge pool or a Jacuzzi for late night FUN wouldn't be great either.
Temptation will be *430-rooms in its rebuilt state up from *375 - Will there be other night-time activities other than PatyO's? We were told by Premier during our last trip in September- Temptation was going upscale and as part of that they want to reduce the drama, therefore they would no longer allow 3 men in a room unless Premier, also they would have an age restriction of 28yrs or older unless Premier. Any truth to that? Any update on new Locations - TTR or Desire? West-Coast of Mexico? Cabos? Mazatlan, Puerto Vallerata? Not a question but - Keep Temptation Temptation. Lets not make it low-cost Desire. It's much too big a resort and that theme will not work and just reduce occupancy.
