One thing Cancun does have going for it is ease of travel. It has a good sized airport nearby and lots of flight options. Plus we get to hit the red light / green light button on the way out and a bar is right outside the airport.

Sounds like a pretty good business plan, barring the bachelor parties.

Yep, when we first started the FB group I said I'd post everything here first. But that's kind of slipped and I usually post anything important at the same time on both.

I'll try that this time, but since it will be on youtube I'll give it 10 minutes before the video gets posted directly to the FB group by someone.

(assuming that was sarcasm ;) since his interview comment was to the contrary )

I think it would be good business .

you know how many time I,ve heard ,, I,m never coming back ,, this was the worst trip in years,,, and they all refer to Bachelor parties .

I think the rooms would fill up with couples and singles in now time once the rift raft is gone .

Also if the price point remains,, it will not be as attractive to that type of venue .

    Time will tell

Seems funny they pay agents and websites such a large commission. With that in mind you think their own website would be much cheaper and more money in their pockets. It is confusing to me why they purposely lose money. Must be a business plan that I do not understand. (I understand the volume etc...).

Also pretty sad when "members" can find comparable or in some cases cheaper rates else where. You still get the perks by giving your contract number at check in and get the room category of your contract if available, assuming that you booked a lower category room, or the higher category room that you booked / paid for.

The new price point may also deter many repeaters as well especially if the vibe changes. Without the vibe you can choose many similar quality resorts albeit with kids and limited or no topless optional for the same price or cheaper. I have no issues with paying a bit of a premium for the new TTR but if that premium is excessive and with no / reduced "TTR vibe" that made us repeaters / members it's not going to work for us :(

Spoiled self entitled rich kid bachelor parties can be no different than any bachelor party... assholes are just assholes, it is just money at that point. Guess that applies across the board not just to bachelor parties. $$ or lack of doesn't make an asshole, the person makes the asshole.

I just hope the new TTR has the same vaca value for us when it reopens. We are concerned even as members about bang for buck for the place we love.
