    Great suggestion by Jnine!

I'll be conducting an interview with Mario Cruz, Concept Manager of Original Group in the near future and am looking for input from you guys for questions to put to him. I'll hopefully video it and post it here.

    Please ask your questions below.

I know this doesn't qualify as a legit question and more a suggestion but if you could pass it along. My wife REALLY wants the old cigar bar location, which appears to not be in the demolition, designated as a Clothing Optional area with a Large Hot tub.
Seems like a waste of a nice secluded area. She just enjoys being naked and I don't mind her being naked either!

    Neither do we!

LEGIT QUESTION FOR MARIO THOUGH.. The above post was similar to mine which is...

Are there any thoughts about a large hot tub similar to the one in Cabo with extended hours, possibly even clothing optional at some point? If not, what about expanding the sexy pool hours until 4am, again perhaps clothing optional and with the closest bar open? A lot of people reference the CABO hot tub and and the enjoyment of a late night hot tub or pool, and many like the clothing optional appeal at that time.

Are they on schedule? Do you need to be a member to stay in the new part? Thank you.

He mentions a new Desire and TTR, do they have any locations in mind?

Yes, inquiring minds wonder, "Can we bring a female guest along at no additional charge?"

    I have a few questions.

    1. First off, I'm genuinely curious. What's happening with Nice Shoes room and sports bar? Will there be a similar sports bar in new concept, pool table etc?

    2. As we have all seen, to date Original Resorts has offered a concept like nowhere else in Cancun. TTR and Desire, playgrounds for adults comes to mind. Other adult only resorts have mimicked the concept, but all fall short (e.g. telling girls to cover up, closing bars ealy, no nighttime entertainment after 10pm etc). Even Breathless (which from an outsider's point of view looks very close to the concept the new TTR wants to portray), falls short on the type of fun that TTR guests have come to know and love. So my question is how will the new TTR hold on to what made it the legacy it is today? How will the old concept fit in to the new sophisticated (aka more expensive) concept?

    3. For restaurants, how will reservations work? At the old TTR it always seemed like the reservation restaurants were always half empty, and no matter what day you made a booking they rarely could accommodate unless you took a really early or really late slot. Since we're all paying significantly more for the new TTR, will the menu improve? For standard guests as well as Premier? I'd like some of the Premier-only options to be available for all (even if you have to pay more for it). Also will they offer room service?

    4. Wi-fi. Will this still be pay for the day, or free for all?

    5. The concept pictures show the pool area as flush with the beach behind it. Does this mean the Premier deck is going? If so, will another area be set aside as Premier-only at the pool?

    6. It looks like the new Paty O bar is situated within the new tower block. How is that going to work noise-wise? The perk of getting a room next to the old Paty O was that it was close, but noisy (which was ok for some). I can't imagine people paying tower room prices will be too pleased if they have to endure the level of noise experienced with the old 3000 block rooms. What I'm getting at, will the disco / bar be closed down earlier to accommodate a noise curfew? If so, will there be any other space opened up for late night drinking / dancing on the resort?

    That's everything I can think of :)

All great questions, I feel like this one though might be able to be answered now. The old rooms were old, and probably constructed pretty poorly, so the sound just traveled and reverberated off everything. I would gather that with new construction there will be much more soundproofing between floors, steel in the tower, with heavier duty walls and patio doors. So the sound won't travel as far. I fell like the noise will be kept to a minimum, else you are out on your balcony.

Think about all them hotels in Vegas. Crazy parties two floors below your room, and you never hear a thing.

How will older Premier Club memberships work at the "new" Temptation? Will it be seamless and no change to the experience, or will there be changes of which the membership be aware?

As above, is the old and not well-utilized Nice Shoes area and Sports Bar be renovated?

Will there be air conditioning in Bash, or is it to continue to be an open-air environment, but be covered by roofing? If so, how will that be ventilated as in summer Patyo's could get stifling (I grant you, it's still sexy as hell to have all those sweating ladies dancing and taking thuings off, but still... overheating IS a concern for lots of northern types).

Will the bar liquors be upgraded to make more available what is generally considered middle of the road booze to everyone? (I can't stand that I'm the only dude in the line who can get a Crown & Coke just because of a white armband. That's not smart. Crown isn't high end and lots of folks drink that level of booze.)

Food and restaurant upgrades to reservations, etc. Personally I would like to see "reservations" go by the wayside, totally. Simply have enough space where you can accommodate people in the restaurants you have even if everyone wishes to eat. If all go at the same time to the same place, you get a line. No big deal, people go somewhere else if they don't want to wait. But... I can't STAND going up to the Italian, for example, and asking if we can go in when they are only 1/3 seated and being told there is no availability. Grrr. (Note: This does NOT happen at other higher end resorts. They seat you. You can read my Trip Advisor feed if you don't believe me, check out The Royale in Playa del Carmen for example)

Will there be an emphasis on keeping the "Party environment" the same? Same entertainment, same staff (generally), same dumb games which lead to goofy nudity often times, same off-color humor, same naughty-dirty participation encouraged? That IS what we're there for during the day, remember. Spring Break for Adults.

Easy-peasy access to Steve's Boobs Cruise right down at the pier? Sign up right erhe... somewhere since Patyo's isn't going to be there? Sheez this is very important, we need to know where to go.

I shall second all the above requests for a clothing-optional time and location, an personally I'd like a designated playroom, too. It could be called "Concluzone" or something (get it?).

They really can't be getting THAT much gross revenue off of bachelor parties in the grand scheme of things. Have they actually looked at that and compared it to the negativity of the coupled-up guests having to deal with those gangs of (mostly) idiots? I have heard WAY mor ecomplaints about that issue than any other since we've been going to TTR (since 2007).

    * I may have more. Oh, here's one.

If the Silver Apple was the old thematic emblem, what's the new one going to be?

Oh, can we get rid of see-through doors in the bathrooms (specifically where the toilet is located -- I'm NOT talking about shower doors, Yum!)? I've NEVER heard any woman at TTR who enjoys that... AT ALL.

Our main concern is what will happen to current members in regards to price and availability of the perks that we currently have. The idea of an up charge for the new steak restaurant unless you are staying in the tower doesn't sit well after paying a hefty membership. Loosing perks and significantly reduced rates (not always the case but for the most part we did well) that we paid for in the membership could be a deal breaker for some. If there is little value left in the new TTR scheme of things it might be time to cut the losses :(
