    We haven't booked yet, I usually wait till Feb., but we'll be there for Halloween to be the crazy Hotties and Hellraisers.

    Is it safe to book for October? UK school holidays week for us (21st - 28th) but a little worried about the state of the place

    The owners of TTR are also well known builders in Mexico. They'll get the job done on time and under budget.
    Everyday that the resort isn't open is a loss of revenue as well as the opportunity for another resort to try to steal away their business.
    The latter isn't likely as we all know!

    They WILL be open by August and I would suspect that there is even the possibility of an earlier soft opening.
    That doesn't mean that the entire resort will be open, but the preexisting resort and the lower level rooms will be done by the proposed opening date.
    They've already started putting the pilings in place for the new tower. I would expect that we'll see the bulk of the tower up and by the end of January early February.
    We booked for the August re-opening but admittedly haven't booked our flights as of yet.
    As my wife would say, 2 cents just deposited!

    I would agree with you that they will be open by the scheduled date of August 15th.

    Not so sure about a possible earlier opening - I think it may well be possible the hotel is ready, because I am sure they are erring on the side of caution. However, if they haven't taken any bookings for earlier than August 15th then it's going to be difficult to fill many rooms at short notice.

    Never put in doubt a bunch of Cancuncare Junkies that have been without
    their beloved TTR! I bet we could muster a few hundred CCC people for an early opening.:biggrinbandit:
