Great TR..short visit to GOS for us..only real complaint was trying to get a full belly. Nighttime buffet would have been perfect..its not TTR which was totally cool with us. Liked the change for 1 trip. The unsalted butter and maple syrup was amazing though!
So glad you had a great time. I had read such horrible reviews of Sens from multiple travel sites and that had put me off. Everything you posted sounds great as an alternative to Temptation except the stairs (I had seen complaints about those infamous stairs before as well)

So glad your trip was better than ours. When you say you don't stay up to the wee hours what time is that? Because when we were there all hotel lights were out by 1130 nightly. ALL lights. At 130 one morning security told us to go to our rooms. Because if this does get better the price point does make a huge difference to us and this resort was well priced. You say its listed at 3* Air Canada lists it at 4.5* you are more accurate for sure. We enjoyed the actual hotel and if they are changing this could be the place for us. Thanks for the great report
We generally were back in our room by midnight. Most times we were hanging out around the lobby. Yes, the Lobby lights went out not long after the lobby bar closed at 11pm. One thing we also were able to do was go in the hot tubs behind the Shillabar after hours. Never had a problem, security came around and just said Hola. We were also behaving ourselves. Heard of others that were asked to leave, did not get details on what they were doing. Also, most US websites, including Hotels.com rate GOS and Temptation at 3.5 Stars
What was the water temp like when you were there? Our first two trips to Cancun were after Thanksgiving, and at the GP. Both times the water there was quite cold in the pool. Our trip to TTR last year was over Halloween, and the pool water was perfect. Definitely would like warm water over cold.
