Hey sometimes the sole called best rooms may not be the best rooms, time will tell. 1000 hp out of a small block chevy I have personally seen way north of that number.

Been to a lot of resorts and researched a lot of resorts through the years in Cancun and the Riviera Maya and based on what we know about the new Temptations I'd say it about a $245 to $310ish a night hotel with two people in the room depending on the time of year. Anything more than about $325 good luck cause you can stay at some prime places when you start talking $325 and up a night on a good deal. I've seen the Le Blanc before down to around $400 a night at times through the years. Normally runs about $550 to $750 a night on an avg. to good deal(Rack rate is like 1100 a night). Doesn't get much better than that anywhere in the world. So you can't have Temptations anywhere near it or even a stones throw away in price.

The market will bare out Temptations price over the next year or two. They have to continue to attract new guest. They can't live on repeat guest only so the market will eventually tell the owners what they can ask for a night, just might take a little while. So I won't worry to much about these early prices we've seen. I think long term it will settle down to more reasonable price for most of the long time repeaters.

P.S: Who knows what the atmosphere will be like when it reopens. It may not be what it once was and all this talk/worry goes right out the window.

Isn't pricing speculation a waste of time? What will be, will be, and we'll all make decisions then. In the meantime, let's all keep traveling to resorts in Cancun and other warm places, meeting old/new fun folks and enjoying our "SKI Club" memberships... ('S.K.I.' standing for, "Spending the Kids' Inheritance"!)

Ground floor at TTR is really cheap right now. It's pretty noisey though.

Does anyone have an idea what the rooms around the quiet pool with the jacuzzi suite on the ground floor, will cost next October? We got those last time, and liked them.

Is that what they call the "rack rate", that people don't usually pay if you can find a better deal in the secondary market?
