Has anyone else noticed the pricing for Temptation they posted on facebook? The prices are crazy expensive! At first I thought it was $300 per night for the cheapest room and I thought, OK that's a little much but might be worth it. Then I saw "per person/per night". That's $600 a night, for the cheapest room! WTF! Want a new tower room - over $700 per night.

At these prices nobody will be going other than members and Referrals.

Here is the link (hopefully the link works)...

As an update I put in a few random dates and the prices are significantly cheaper than the "starting rate" posted. The first week they are open it's $325 per night and in late Novemeber it's $355 per night for the cheapest room for two adults. Tower rooms start out at over $400 a night (I have a feeling nobody will be booking these).

Must be a cultural difference. I thought starting rate would be the cheapest rate, not the rack rate that nobody will pay.

That's rack rate that you are seeing, nobody pays that rate. TTR will be more expensive after it reopens for a while from what it was in the past. After it finds it's place in Cancun the rates will calm down some but will be somewhat more than they were in the past.

There are a bunch of people who already booked and paid that price for the opening. Of course some members and some Referrals too. Hell a referral for Nov Dec is 266 a night. It was 150 last Dec.

Hey if they want to pay the price, go for it. Give it sometime the rates will settle down if the rooms Are not booked full after the reopening.

Not too bad at 330/night or so for 2 people after booking. Better than expected actually.

Hope these prices don't rise further.

members and Referrals don't pay till 30 days a out and can just rebook at the lower rate.

booking with a travel agent for a ''tenative'' re-opening date at this point is very risky,, no refunds with agents , they just send you to a comparable resort in most cases .

Gonna wait a while. Not paying $330 a night.$330 a night is $140 MORE a night than we've ever paid!!!

Yes I totally agree. If I was not a member I would definitely wait. No way would I pay the 355 for December.
