That's what I thought from my two trip reports. A few more like minded people, and the place could be really fun, because it is a nice set up. How was the pool, and hot tub temp? In our trips the hot tub was too cold to be in one time, and the pool was quite cold both times. TTR pool temp was perfect. All of out trips were end of October/mid December.
We found the pool temp just about perfect but the hot tub was cool. We bugged maintenance one day and they put it up to 95. The far end near the tiki bar was the hottest part.
A very, VERY disappointing evening! Music wasn't started in the Sixties Bar until 11:10 pm and it was just a generic playlist. Most of the people had already left. I would guess that there were 80 people, both GP regulars and TTR folks, dressed in theme in attendance at 10:15 excited for an evening of dancing. Needless to say I am very disappointed. Tonight will certainly affect my decision about returning to this hotel in the future. Quite a change from thoughts I was having just 1 day ago.
<~~~~ was the very first Batgirl! So great meeting you two! I agree with everything you said, food was great, staff was accommodating, service was top notch! I definitely missed the patyos debauchery, but found GP to be a good home away from home for now
I wore a basically see through from the waist up red cocktail dress, and other than a few stares it didn't seem to bother anyone. I should add, I was intoxicated most of the trip so.....
Great trip report and great meeting you and joining us on the TTR yacht! After reading reviews about OS, I'm pretty sure this place is the closest we will come to the TTR atmosphere. But, as mentioned, we had to bring the people and the party, else everyone would have been stuck playing bingo... true story.
This was just posted on Trip Adv about GP....Sounds like a take over to me. LMAO (First, we showed up to find that the resort was now mostly "topless" guests. ------------------------------------------------------ I felt very uncomfortable as these guests "took over the entire pool" and walked around the pool and the beach totally topless.....) Dang Heathens!
