Hey guys, OK so it looks like they have updated the webpage and there is a bit more information than before with regard to the restaurants. A couple of things jumped out at me: 1. "Affair Grill" (Steakhouse) - glad to see there is a steakhouse style restaurant, but there is a disclaimer "If you are not a Tower Room guest, an additional charge applies". Not sure how I feel about this, especially as a member. I hope they don't turn things into segregating groups of people even more. (regular, members, tower) 2. "Raw" (Seafood) - states "Breakfast and Dinner". That would be nice to have a second breakfast option aside from the buffet. I mean I can eat raw fish anytime during the day, but it seems like an odd name for people that aren't looking for early morning seafood. 3. "Caffeine" (coffee bar) - All day where you can get Panini’s and baguettes. Elyse will like this. (I thought that instantly, but now that I think about it, I can't see her going to a coffee bar when there is a regular bar near, haha). Might not be bad to just grab a quick sandwich without actually having to sit down for brunch/lunch. 4. "Suite 3.5" (lobby bar) - 10am - 1am. This seems like a decent idea to me. Sometimes I could use a break from dancing at night, and wouldn't mind having a drink inside to chill out for a minute. Also, waiting for friends checking in/out won't be so bad if it's in the vicinity. Also, all bars seem to close at 2am, and I don't see anything on there about late night food either. Additionally, It doesn't seem like they are re-purposing the "Cigar bar" since that building is staying, I actually thought they were going to do something with that.
I thought they told me at the premiere presentation that it will be a play area. They said there would be a couple of them. But can you believe everything the sales people tell you!!!
That is very hard for me to believe. Because as soon as you have even one "play area" I think that changes the clarification of the resort. And in the regard I believe you would have to be one way or the other. And old TTR didn't even have a play area.
Funny, the steak house for our presentation was open to all. Just a bar in the tower was tower guests only. As you say, they will tell you anything.
I was told the same thing at the end of August. He said the steak house was opened to all. I guess he forgot to leave out the part you have to stay in a tower room for it to be free. They just tell you what you want to hear.
I don't think "play area" means in a lifestyle context. The new TRC is trying to market a conceptual idea of multiple playgrounds for Adults to vacation within, without minors.
The Cigar Bar was practically above our room. It was closed every night of our stay(Sept. 7th-16th). But one night coming home from Patty-o we used it as a playroom, lol. Shhh dont tell!
Are the tower rooms going to be for Premier? we bought in 6 weeks ago and I did not ask.... and I love me some steak !
