Everyone saw the videos when the plans were announced, but since then it's all been speculation. Are there any real plans or pictures ofwhat the new resort will look like?
I'd imagine in the contractors/designers hands but don't think anything else has been made public beyond what they have on their website.
We went on a referral the last week so we saw a lot of pictures during the sales pitch. Obviously we do not have access to those pictures. The main building will be 8 floors, partially u shaped, all rooms are ocean view.
I'm just curious what the Paty'Os area will be like? Hopefully we will have as many memorable moments with the new improved TTR. On another note, does anyone have reservations coming back on the first day? We are on the fence between here and Hedo. We have some friends that we met last trip that are coming down the first week, we already scheduled HedoII, but now we are torn. The week of August 15th may be a great time, but they may have growing pains too. What are everyone else's thoughts? Is the grand reopening going to be the party of the century? I could be wrong but I think the new night-time bar/club area is up on the top of the new building (8 floors up)...partly inside/outside (so can have air conditioning and also avoid the rainy weather)...

If it's like any other resort opening, I'd steer clear of booking the first few weeks. A fairly common theme seems to be bars/restaurants/pools not being complete or open right away, to people getting bumped to other resorts because rooms aren't ready. I'd hate to be all excited and booked for opening week then finding out that we have been bumped to another resort because TTR isn't quite ready.
