So as we have no TTR next year, one of our options is the Desire cruise. It's leaving from Venice next September. This is a bonus for us... No long haul across the Atlantic. The cruise is not cheap tho. Anyone else thinking of this as an alternative? Is there anyone offering cheap deals on the cruise? I can't find any. Any thoughts welcome.....
We looked at that cruise also but if I didn't have to sell a kidney to pay for it we might consider it. Otherwise I'm sure there are other Cruises out there that could cater to the TTR type crowd Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Ha Ha... We dont have to sell any body parts because we are saving the cost of the flights across the atlantic. Also, we dont need to take any recovery time from work afterwards- its only an hour flight from the UK. Even so, its not for free! Original resorts is not selling it so I wonder is it just an operator paying the Desire people for the use of the brand?? nobody seems to know much about this cruise. Still whats the worst that can happen. (apart form the price!) It might be our Mexico fix for next year tho! Who knew how much we'd love TTR?? Thanks for the advice!!
FYI - www.desire-cruises.com where you book the cruise, is completely owned and operated by Original Resorts. You can do a simple WHOIS lookup for yourself if you are unsure
I think it was Jen & Kyle that ran the number$ for U.S. peeps thinking about this. They ran numbers to go from I think flying out of Baltimore to Venice to whih I added Houson to Baltimore. It ended up at ~$11K for the two of us to do it. That same $11K will, with newly-updated membership, get us 21 straight nights in the Passion Suite at DRM, and the Southwest Airlines round trip tickets if we were so inclined.. In other words, 3 trips to DRM or one cruise. So, nah.
I checked in to it as well and discovered that the "all inclusive" element only refers to meals and one glass of wine with dinner. Everything else has to be bought. Can you imagine the horror of requesting 30 wet pussy shots and being presented with a bill for $300?
