Anyone who is there now or just got back ... how are the mosquitos? Some friends just got home from Cozumel on Saturday and she texted me that they were awful there - she ended up buying Prednisone at the pharmacy and spent $20 on Off.

We didn't see any in cancun. We avoided them by staying well hydrated in the pool

I know it isn't the same time frame, but when I was there end of May into June, there was no bug or bee problems. The only night I got bit was when I was drunk sitting in the grass next to someone's patio.

That's my thing - I'm usually a February person, so I wasn't sure if it was different this time of year. The only time I've ever had a problem is if I stand at the end of the bar in Patyo's where they go in and out from behind it where stuff gets spilled.

I've spent a few days in Cancun in September and I can say I have never been bit by a mosquito in all my time. I would never dream of bringing bug spray to the hotel zone in Cancun personally.

Oh man, I hope they're not a nuisance. My wife is so allergic. She develops six-inch welts from the smallest damn mosquito bite.

Of all of our visits in Feb, May, September and November, have never had a problem with mosquitos.

Have seen some welts before, that was when one particularly inebriated woman at PatyOs gave my wife a particularly sharp slap on the ass. Next Day, big welt that looked just like a hand.
