Single guys with class are very enjoyable.........we think.....from experience that the majority of problems with single guys come from night passes and guys that believe all women want them.....lol.

Guys.....treat all the ladies with respect........remember..........they don't NEED you at All! They don't WANT you at All! They want to be respected....treated like ladies. Anything else.......you'll be labeled a CREEPER!

    Is that what you Want?

    Probably Not! Be a gentleman!

I agree with everything you said, but this week's problem is guys who are just the shy boring type, that are confused that there are so few single women and there arent enough fun couples to overcome their boringness... though we will sure try in about an hour.

Single guys fall into different categories, so it's not really fair to lump them altogether.

    - Single guys traveling by themselves who don't know anyone.
    - Single guys traveling by themselves who already know people at the hotel from previous trips or online.
    - Single guys traveling in groups with other single guys they know from home.

The first two are fine, whereas the packs can and often do cause problems due to bravado and/or peer pressure. Last Friday it seemed there were quite a few groups of the latter and it did make the atmosphere at Paty O's not quite the same as usual.

The group of local guys on a night pass thing, I think, is a misnomer. The hotel probably doesn't issue more than half a dozen night passes a week, and at $180 USD they are out of reach for most local guys where the average wage is about $600 a month. Most night passes are bought by tourists staying at other hotels coming over to meet friends at TTR, couples checking out the place for a possible future stay, or us (we get a discount so go quite often).

Hi Dan - thanks for your response. I probably could have been a little more clear in my comment but I see many others have since responded and have done so. My comment wasn't directed to single guys like yourself who are/were of a rare breed. You party with like minded people at a resort that caters to an adult themed environment. As Steve rightfully pointed out there are different categories of single guys. Our opinion was that on our recent trip TTR felt more like a Vegas style of party environment with "packs" of guys in their mid-20s trolling to see boobies. eg: the douchebags that ruin it for the good guys.

I justed wanted to point out that on our most recent trip we saw a lot of "packs" of single guys. One group was very cool and low key. However the most extreme was a group of five who, on their first day, were extremely loud in the quiet pool. Were making rude comments about women at the pool. One said "check out the tits on this one" as my wife walked back from our room toward the pool. They were making negative comments about the resort and wondered why there was no casino. That is the type of group I expect to see in Vegas but not at TTR. At other times there are guys hanging out on their balcony around the quiet pool, music blaring, stuff hanging over the balconies. A few guys spent over an hour every night after dark clearly hoping to see action in other rooms. That is what I don't get and frankly I know the majority don't want this.

My theory is that as the current TTR winds down and given the peak off season it was very affordable for such groups to pick TTR as a party place. I would expect this to change when TTR reopens. At the end of the day what we all agree is that TTR is unique. Its an adult themed resort that primarily caters to couples according to the marketing - romance, drops of love, couples massages, hot tubs etc etc but has a great party element to it as well. You can have romantic nights and party nights all in one week. And as you noted mature, like minded single people can co-exist in this environment. We prefer it over Desire as it is more upbeat and we are not interested in clothing optional.

    Hope this clarifies :icon_biggrin:

    I would add something else:

I think you could have "pack" of Canadian single guys and they as a group would not be inappropriate. It has been our experience that Canadians are generally very fun, extremely polite, LOVE to party and "get it". Of our trips, the folks we have hung with, keep in touch with, and enjoyed the most have been Canadians for the most part.

Canadians are a lot like most Texans.

I just went as a single guy on my own and will admit that it felt like I had to deal with the groups of guys that had no boundaries making me embarrassed at their actions. Even had one guy try to do the whole "have you met..." with me when I had no idea who he was and already knew the two nice women that he was clearly using me to talk to. Just sucks that guys like that make it so much tougher for everyone (singles and couples) to enjoy themselves.

That said, I had a great time meeting all the amazing, friendly people at TTR and definitely envision a return trip in the future. Thanks everyone who was there Aug 16-19 for making my vacation awesome.
