We are also thinking about Breathless Next year but it would be in May. Never been before but we are hearing good things.
The wife just brought up that resort tonight for our group to look at. Would like to hear from someone who has stayed there.
Breathless DR vs. TTR by Narisa it's in the regular TTR forum and has lots of great information. We have also considered going to Breathless but have seen almost entirely negative reactions from people who are used to the TTR experience
We just got back from DR, stayed at Bahia Principe Ambar, nice resort. More beautiful scenery than anything in Mexico but not a TTR experience in anyway. Borderline boring activities and the nightlife is like a karaoke type celebrity singing songs. Really waste of time. Met some nice people though and great excursions. Incredible bargain rates.
We normally go to TTR Week 8 in February but are planning a late October trip. Breathless DR and Cabo are at the top of the list. If we go, I'll review it. Noticed most TTR peeps are going to Grand Oasis Sens at that time. Now that resort has horrible reviews but so did TTR.
Breathless DR We went to Breathless DR in August. The resort is nice, but it was not even close to the TTR experience. There wasn't any toplessness, but maybe it was the people that were there. The "Party" pool was pretty boring, with one event a day around 3:00pm, but nothing compared to TTR. The nightlife was one club that pretty much played latin music all night with the same DJ and list. The food was good and the beach was nice. We were expecting more the TTR experience based on their website reviews, but it was more just a normal adults only resort. Overall it was OK if you never been to TTR, but wasn't what we were looking for. Good Luck to all!
We have friends there now. They have been showing videos. They are having fun but in comparison it is a tame TTR. We are looking at going possible February for one week. Not sure about Breathless but waiting to see where people might be going.
NOTHING IS LIKE TTR! There is a large group of feb TTR peeps going FEB 17-26 WE ALREADY BOOKED. WE WILL MAKE IT TTR we have friends that went last month said the food and acccomadations where very nice it's a little tamer than TTR but they still had a blast with this large group going should be fun.
