We discovered Cava de Oro Extra Anejo Cristalino tequila in Cabo, but have been unable to find it in Cancun on our last couple of trips. Anyone know if it's available anywhere in Cancun? It is truly the 4th most amazing thing you've ever had in your mouth! (From a guy's perspective...)
Not sure if they have that exact Tequila but a couple of places to check in Cancun: La Destileria and Hacienda Tequila Both let you try before you buy. If you go to Tequila.net, they have your tequila listed there to buy. Not sure of your location and rules on liquor ordering and shipping.
I wouldn't call it a specialty tequila place but La Europea has a huge selection. There are (at least) 3 of them in Cancun. The easiest to get to is across from Walmart.
There is a place in Plaza Kukulcan "mall" (I can't recall the name) but they had a very large selection and allowed sampling.
This isn't in Cancun but we did a dune buggy tour when in Cozumel and stopped at The Tequila Factory, Cozumel Mexico., It was great and had samples to try, I'm glad I drove the first leg of that tour. T
