They are two completely separate resorts. I'm not sure of the different atmosphere. They are sister resorts.
Planning to come for the weekend of Halloween before heading to another resort in our timeshare with friends for the rest of the week. The Hotel's website which appeared to have the best rate was down so I called to book our SIAN KA room? I talked to Suzzie who was very helpful and after reading about how hard it is to get into the restaurants and how good some of the restaurants look I asked to see if I could get reservations for anytime during our stay at Black Hole and Benazuza restaurants because they sound like a lot of fun. Not that the restaurants will be the most fun of this trip with the sounds of this group. Hopefully we are not too intoximicated to enjoy these two dinners. Hopefully it doesn't land on a night of the Boobs Cruise which we hope to go on again!!! Steve, we are available for a cruise 10/29, 10/30, or 10/31. Our plans to go back to TTR fell through last year so anxiously hoping to make the cruise this year!!!
Grand Oasis Sens and Lifestyle at Grand Oasis Sens can be confusing. It is the same place. The difference is based upon membership. Anybody can stay at Grand Oasis Sens (in a regular room or in an upgraded Sian Kaan room) as members or nonmembers. Membership in "Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club" (LHVC) has extra benefits. Kinda like Premiere membership at Temptation. Lifestyle in this context does not have the same meaning as us Americans connect with the term. We are members - our home resort is in the Dominican Puerto Plata, but they have sister affiliations with the 3 Grand Oasis resorts in Cancun/Tulum and one in DR Punta Cana. In April we stayed at the Grand Oasis and Grand Oasis Sens under our LHVC membership. We have priority access to the top restaurants, top shelf liquor, free canopy beds on the beach, stuff like that. To some it may be worth it, some maybe not. We love it! People can reserve rooms under our membership through us to get the same benefits.
