Any pricing that is 2 years out is going to be a stretch. The resort isn't even shut down yet. I think that we all just need to be patient and see what pricing is like a 12-18 months from now. I know you guys in the UK tend to book your trips a bit earlier then most of us from Canada/US but I think 24 months is too soon to panic.

    Good Luck!

I keep checking Thomas Cook every so often, unfortunately no TTR on their list yet. Alpha Rooms have prices but they're extortionate! Keeping fingers crossed Thomas Cook or Thomson put the new TTR on their books.

I don't trust that the prices are set as of yet! Most of the premier members haven't received the email notification of the price increase. We are friends with one of the premier sales guys and he thinks it was a feeler to see what reaction it would get.
Don't get me wrong, the price will definitely go up, but the price structure for the existing rooms shouldn't go up very much. The increase will be reflected in the newly built rooms.
A 20% increase across the board on the existing rooms should be expected. But we have to look at the amount of money that the ownership is putting into the property! I've heard $40 million!!!
That's a big investment on their part the least we could do is be patient and see what they offer us.

Also, I wouldn't expect it to take till August of 2017, they're well underway with the remodel.
I keep hearing people say they are tearing down the main structure but what we were shown by one of the engineer's was a complete remodel of all existing structures with an addition to the main building of I believe an extra 7 floors.

    Be patient!

I think it is a pretty sure, and well known, thing that basically this section is getting leveled and the new structure is being built.

I'm pretty sure your right, it doesn't appear that they could do what they're talking about doing and leave that section. It just appeared in the plans we were shown, and my husband paid way more attention than I did, that they were retasking some of the existing property in that area you have circled.
I guess we wont know for sure till they start that area, but we will be living in Playa during most of the reno so we will keep everyone updated with pics!

We spoke with Chinos last week and he said everything to the right of the 3000 block would be torn down. They did build a new section on top of the 1300 block, so maybe they are keeping those rooms too. The 1000 block of rooms are the oldest and in the worst shape, so they would have to do a lot to get those rooms up to par. No way in hell I would be paying a significant increase to stay in the 1000 block of rooms for a new paint job and mattress. Those rooms need new AC and plumbing.

Stacia & I totally went into a panic mode when we heard about the reno.... we were so screwed up that we moved our from TTR to DRM.

And no, we've not received anything official from the Premier desk about pricing structures, etc. The regular messages about upcoming stuff is all.Premier

It taken us a long time to find this place and hope it as good as you all say. Its the people that make a place not the place that make people. If TTR price them selfs out i'm sure you will find a new place for fun.
