Has anyone used the Mobile Passport APP at Customs when coming back into the USA. How did it work when using it, any issues, what did you think?? Mobile Passport App - The App for US customs and immigration T
I read about that just yesterday and am curious to know more also. I'm fortunate to use Atlanta as my hub. Customs there is fairly efficient and streamlined for exiting (transfers is a whole other issue) so wondering if the app will save any significant time or hassle.
This is the USA Government site with info. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control T
Mobile passport used it in at FLL in June walked right thru, separate lines for any one with the app.
Thanks for the info, We are going to try it out in Miami on the way home on 09/04. Hope it helps because Miami airport is is the pits for going through customs. T
I got the Global permit . Sounds like it is about the same thing. Under the Globe program U go thru a FBI background check and then your put in their system as a low risk traveler. Coming back from the Philippines last April, I used it in Detroit. Just scan my passport, scan finger prints and then had a picture taken , once verification is done. got a receipt and just gave it to one person in customs and went to pick up bags... It also comes with pre-check features for the TSA checkin procedures. Will be using it in Miami airport coming back from TTR in August.
We used the Mobile Passport APP coming home this past Sunday in Miami and it worked flawlessly. I made a new trip and sent it when we were walking off the air plane had a receipt in seconds, walked through the airport following the yellow Mobile Passport signs up to the CBP officer, handed him our passports scanned my phone twice once for me and then for the Mrs answered the normal questions, took 25 seconds max. Funny thing was the line for Global entry and TSA Pre Check was 20+ people long, the other normal line looked endless. I highly recommend it and I will only be using this APP to come back into the country from now on. T
Freaking awesome... We breezed right through the line with it! Easy to use too and free Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks like this has only been rolled out at a few airports in the US so far including Miami, Chicago etc. others to follow but not in time for our upcoming trip.
