They have a variety of fish at all the different restaurants and the buffet. It seems to change, so I can't be certain what they will have on your visit. I prefer to eat mostly seafood when I am there, and I am always pretty satisfied. The open air lunch place "Margaritas"(also referred to as the Tex Mex for dinner), has Shrimp Tacos, and Fish tacos, both of which are awesome for lunch.
LOTS of fish on the buffet every day, and every one I tried was delicious. Most were poached or baked, but all were in sauces. Weirdly, the worse it looked, the better it tasted--so try the white fish in the weird green sauce! Also, the buffet always has fresh fruit, juice, and yogurt at breakfast and a salad bar at lunch and dinner.
I found the food choices were great....You could be a good or as bad as you wanted!! lol I chose both!! lol Lots of fruit and bacon w/a small side of eggs for breakfast, Lunch was a salad or fish tacos at the tex/mex place. And Dinner was tried at all the restaurants!! When you try the Italian one make sure you order a Sexy Coffee....they are the best!!! D
Healthy choices available at both breakfast (yogurt, fruit) and lunch ( salad bar; buffet always has a healthy protein, ie fish, chicken, etc. cooked to order at grill). Our favorite restaurant is the seafood restaurant (the one where you don't need reservations). Other restaurants have healthy choices; you can always ask for dressings/sauces on the side.
I agree completely with the op. It was super easy eating healthy, easier than at home. So many choices of fresh meats with every fruit and vegetable imaginable. Finding a low cal alcoholic beverage for the week was the hard part , not eating.
We too eat healthy and there was tons of options. The buffet is a great for breakfast and lunch. We normally started with an omelet which you could get with only egg whites, and lots of veggie options. We also liked the lunch buffet/out door grill. Inside the buffet they have fresh tuna that you can have grilled to your liking plus lots of other options. We did not do the buffet for dinner. When at one of the restaurants and there was something on the menu I liked but needed to change to suit my diet there was never a problem with that. They are very accommodating. This is one of the things I love about temptations. I actually felt it was easier then eating out here in the states sometimes. Also there are late night snacks that are on the edge of what I feel is healthy but at 2 in the morning when you are drunk it is great. They have beef, chicken, mushroom skewers. All in all I felt there was a lot of things out there that I could eat and it was pretty yummy
I'm terribly lazy and struggle to eat healthy at home, but at TTR, I'm like a different person. It's so easy to eat healthy at TTR! If not for drowning in booze, I'm sure I'd lose weight at TTR. The buffet has a broad selection of salads, meats and veggies. They also do amazing salads at the seafood and Italian restaurants. Just keep away from the late night Paty O burgers and you'll be fine.
Trish... I heard if you're too drunk to remember eating them, the Paty O burgers don't count! Miss you! :aktion030:
compared to cruises and other resorts weve been we rated TTRs food overall about a B. Exception was the Chinese and Italian were probably a solid A-. With that said theres usually fish, salads, etc. But it is vacation and choices will not be as good as going to the store
