I am one of these people at home but as soon as I leave the house for the airport no more phone. I leave it at home and I LOVE the week without it. My husband has his phone but no social media apps so its easy to not pic it up. I personally say we are in Cancun for the week but for some reason I cant every remember how to pronounce the resort name. With our friends I am completely open but my family is in the dark.
We´re a couple of months away from our 6th trip to TTR, the first 2 or 3 trips we tried every way to cover our vacations so people wouldn´t be asking where we went. We did post a few vainilla pics in Facebook and friends and family began telling us where we went as we looked younger and having a blast and more in love with each other in the pics, so now when people ask us we openly say we are going to an adult oriented resort in Cancún. We don´t mention we are in the lifestyle, just that we like to have some adult oriented fun, and lots of our vainilla friends have asked us for more information, we tell them that they NEED to check this place out before making any judgements. We´d love to bring some of our friends here but due to timing and schedules we haven´t been able but for sure when the new TTR open we´ll be there with some of our curious friends and are pretty sure they will love it.
We just tell them the truth. LOL We tell them it's like spring break for adults. Total party atmosphere and most don't judge.
I take the exact approach as Jake and Angel said... I just say it is basically spring break for grown ups! LOL That pretty much sums it up!
The only issue with this is that all smartphones/tanlets these days "tag" each photos exact(within feet) geolocation wise and include it in the photos metadata(easy to read for anyone who has a little techsmarts) - you can disable this "feature" on Android phones/tablets, but I don't think you can on iDevices... just something to think about if you are really concerned about people find out where you really where at that moment in time
Now we just tell people the truth, but back when I did have concerns, I would always say Blue Bay... It used to be Blue Bay Getaway, and there are several other Blue Bay resorts, so I just act kinda clueless if ever asked which one.
We followed the same thinking!!! We said its an adult spring break. We where celebrating 25yrs of marriage and where going to party like we have never partied before boobs and booze!!!
