Sam got roofied one day last May. It happened on his third bubba mug of gin on the rocks. He doesnt remember anything after that! (Just in case sombody doesn't get it, this is called sarcasm....Third bubba mug of gin.....)
What in the wild wild world of sports is going on there?????? Can't say this doesn't cause me great hesitation... Unfortunate for us to have to worry about this occurring....:bash:
I wouldn't worry too much. 4 trips and I never saw an incident. However, this should almost always be something you should be concerned about at any crowded drinking event full of strangers. Easy preventative steps: bring mugs with lids, don't leave drinks unattended, don't take drinks from complete strangers you just met (unless you are ordering them together at the bar), and always be mindful of your surroundings.
Nothing to be hesitant about. Someone got a bee in their bonnet, made assumptions and had to go back a whole 4 years to drag up an ancient thread to find similar references. I think 9 times out of 10 such 'reported' incidents are nothing more than excessive alcohol but people often like to make excuses as to why they got so drunk so quickly. As others have mentioned, the same precautions regarding drinks should be taken at the hotel or any hotel, just as you would at any other similar venue in your home area.
I agree with Steve we have been there 15 times and have never saw anything like that happen. Just use some common sense and all will be fine.
