We are booked June 13th-22nd at Breathless so I was getting worried, but it sounds like the people who are betting bumped to another AM resorts 5 star are also getting 7-day vouchers for a return trip to breathless to be used within the year. So basically a free vacation (besides airfare) for the hassle. Granted, they are getting bumped to more vanilla "Secrets" locations. I was comfortable that if they opened May 5th,they would have 6 weeks to work stuff out, now if they open May 25th, there will only be three weeks to work things out before we arrive. AAAIIIGGGHHHH!!!
I've just been on Thompson to look at prices....ahem...double the price of Temptation at 2400 quid for two weeks in January ,so we won't be going there!,
We are booked for October 30th for 2 weeks from the uk at a cost of £3000, we were £2600 for TTR in April.Begining to get worried that there isn't going to be any sexy atmosphere . Any other TTR regulars going at this time???
Just got to give the NEW TTR sometime and see how it plays out, personally I think it's going to be great but not until late 2017 at best or early 2018 when it finds it place and price in Cancun again. Until then explore other options like these. T
a resort cannot be sexually fun and party themed and also attempt to appeal to pretensious pozers as well. I guarantee that over 90% of women will keep their tops on at Breathless.....I just really hope that the new Temptation doesn't succeed at what appears to be a marketing attempt to appeal to this demographic.....I have hope because there is just no way Temptation can compete as a '5 star' resort on that beach in that location......here's hoping anyway!
They have managed to fill an average older mold infested hotel , on a crappy beach by successfully targeting a specific clientele. Renovate the place , don't upgrade it .
Donald, I don't think TTR will ask you to write up their promotional brochures any time in the near future! :wink3:
You may be on to something here, if the CCC TTR peeps can get this contract for the new promotional brochures for the New TTR they wouldn't draw any new 5 star people, have to keep the $$ more in line with the older rates and then we can have it all to our selves. T
Just interesting to observe - none of the enthusiastic posters on this thread who where going to try the new Breathless Cancun out in May and June, have ever returned to post their experiences or a comparison with TTR ..................
