Does anyone know a good place to sell Premier memberships? I realize there is no referral weeks here but I'd like to sell my entire membership. I have posted on the facebook page already. If this is not the forum, please let me know...thanks!
It's funny/odd/interesting/perplexing that some people are wanting to unload their membership, and then others wanting to pick up. It's probably best to just be patient for a little while. We are still a long way away from anything solid (I mean the resort is still open). And I can't see using just that one brief pricing email as the end-all be-all right now. I bet there will be more complex communication coming at some point. My thoughts are to not get your panties in a bunch just yet, just take them off and continue business as normal until we learn more.
They could have put that email out as a way to conduct marketing research on the price point. I am sure they are monitoring forums such as these to keep a finger on the pulse of their repeating customers. Who knows where the price will land. Also, they will probably start fairly high and work the price down to find the sweet spot to maximize occupancy/price per room/profit margin.
I wont post the price here, because of the very good point made about what they are going for....but, I got a very good deal after many hours (almost an entire day) of negotiating and running down through management. I'm not selling due to the fact of the closure. The membership has great benefits through RCI and SFX, so it has significant value aside from TTR. My reasons for selling are personal financial reasons now. I love TTR but don't see myself using this for the coming years.
I don't have the specifics in front of me as I am working overseas currently. But the basic breakdown is 25 weeks. Can be used at TTR, RCI, or SFX. Plus 1 free week at TTR no fees involved. Also worldpass access, as well as a few Referrals each year. I can get specifics soon, but have to look at the contract.
Picking up a cheap outstanding contract right now is money in the bank, in preparation for the new TTR pinnacle
Seems to me that when someone is trying to sell a stock at a discounted rate because they're scared of what MAY come, a GOOD investor snatches it up! I've made good investments and I've made bad investments. It's all a crap shoot. Even though this contract is for sale due to a financial issue, if I were in the market for a deal, this would be worth looking at. Anytime you can purchase a discounted item it's worth a look at least for interested parties. Whether TTR raises it's rates or not, I will choose to go there. I like TTR so going there is a given. If I own a contract that gives me a discount to a location that I'm already going to be going to. Sounds like a deal worth looking at! You just have to be able to justify spending the initial amount. I go to TTR 4 times a year, so........ You do the math!
