The Last Night

In looking at the proposed themes for the last week, I felt that the theme for the last night as proposed in this thread and elsewhere needed a bit of "Jazzing Up" - to make it a bit more epic. So I created a "Last Night" thread the other day that has gotten a lot of views, a few "likes" but only one comment. So, I am going to repost my idea here (and in the September Roll Call thread as well) to see if anyone agrees with my thoughts and ideas for that last night. I would be more than happy to tweak/change my ideas based on comments - or drop it entirely if there is no interest. Any in event, below please find my original post. All feedback is welcome.

Wendy and I are going to be there the last week (9/18 to 9/25) and we really think that the last night should be a very special theme night. I have seen some other ideas posted in other threads but I wanted to start this thread dedicated to the last night. Here are my thoughts:

The wrecking ball thread got me thinking and what a perfect theme for the final night - a grand ball that we can call "The Wrecking Ball"

In my opinion, the night with the most participation during our prior visits is lingerie night. So, taking it a step further, we can make our last night theme The "Wrecking Ball lingerie Masquerade Party" We can encourage every one to wear lingerie (well - ok - encourage the ladies to wear lingerie)along with a mask - and everyone can ditch the masks at midnight.

I would also suggest we ask the hotel to flip-flop the Saturday Red/Black Night (and the show at the sports pool) to Thursday and make Saturday our Wrecking Ball theme - then Cancuncare and the Hotel will be in sync. And that way, we will not have two lingerie nights the same week.

In addition, in another thread someone suggested that we raise money for Chinos's Cancer Charity - by getting a sledge hammer and requiring a donation to take a swing at helping to tear down Nice Shoes. I think we should ask the hotel to allow this - even if we don't actually take shots at the walls - perhaps they can set up something that will allow a symbolic "tear down" and at the same time raise money for a great cause - lets say it will be $10 to take a swing. We can do that instead of the normal casino night that is part of the regular lingerie theme on Thursday.

Wendy and I were at Temptations earlier this month and I talked with some of the sales people who thought this was a great idea - if there is agreement in this group, I will be happy to push the idea. I know the sales guys don't run the show, but I am pretty sure I can get them to bring our ideas to the right people if we have some agreement here on this forum. And of course, in the end, we can do whatever we want (except the sledge hammer thing) with or without the hotels approval.

Sorry for the long post - but I would love to get some feedback. And of course, throw out any ideas you have and let's see if we can't come up with a great plan to make that last night a great way to usher out the old and get ready for the new.

When Janet updates the roll call, does it update on page one of the thread or does it repost in chronological order?
ie; are there updated lists on multiple pages of the thread?
