6th Annual Cancuncare Reunion - New Orleans, LA 9/9-11/16

Okay everyone the dates for the annual cancuncare reunion have been set. This will be our 6th annual reunion and we are once again expecting big crowds - so make sure and mark your calendars and plan to attend as soon as possible.

Rooms can be booked now at the Hotel Monteleone by calling at (504) 523-3341 and letting them know you are with the Make-A-Wish Group. The room rates are $185.00 per night. We expect all of the rooms in our block to be sold by June so if you are wanting to get a room and be a part then please do so as soon as you are able.

For those whom have never been but are curious......please understand that this is a VERY inclusive group. It is impossible to explain the dynamic but the fact of the matter is that everyone who attends has a blast and feels welcome and all walk away from this weekend feeling enriched and truly blessed.

The group of incredible people who run this event are all cancuncare members and all encourage the cancuncare spirit of fun times while doing great things. In fact, this group had raised over $300,000.00 for the Make-A-WIsh Foundation over the past 5 years and we expect to go over $500,000.00 in total giving in this our 6th year.

Did I mention it is in New Orleans?

Who would not want to be a part of all that??????

We will have more information available soon. The theme for this years parade through the quarter will be "Rock & Reel" which means that our second line parade will feature some 200 to 300 of us parading down bourbon street as rock stars and movie stars (just pick your favorite one and dress the part)

I do think that rate is usually good until around the first of july or until all of the rooms in our block sell out - last year all the rooms in the block sold out prior to July and when we tried to add more rooms we were unable to because the hotel was completely booked full

We're amazed there are ANY rooms left. This is a tremendously fun weekend, for a great cause. Especially with the TTR renovations shutting the resort down for months, people should take advantage of the opportunity to all get together and show NOLA our party "A" game

 

agree - less than 5 rooms left now - saints are in town that weekend against the raiders and once these last 5 at 185 per night are gone - the next best thing in the quarter is upwards of $300.00 per night

we are expecting over 200 this year (our largest one yet) and the most inclusive parade and pub crawl we have ever had, not to mention presenting a check to the make a wish foundation of approximately $250,000.00 at the sunday morning jazz brunch in the riverview room
