Temptation Resort can't compete in the 5 star market even with upgrade

I forget the exact number but it is only, something like 60-70 rooms, that will be added. That doesn't seem all that hard to fill if they keep the price increase low enough to keep most of the regulars coming, and attract another demographic too. The place gets pretty close to selling out many times throughout the month/year.

 

50 demolished
100 rebuilt

give or take

for a total of 50 ''additional rooms'' and 100 new rooms

remaining rooms to be re-newed

 

I just hope they keep the prices for the rooms that aren't fully new ( 2/3s of the rooms) in a similar price range as before with only a 50 dollar increase per day.

Don't know if they can pull it off but I think they will kill the place off if they jack up the prices far too much.

 

I'm a little sad that the downtime is coming after our second visit just when we were getting into the groove. I'm holding off judgement until they actually close down for the remodel. I find it highly unlikely that they will complete everything in the artist rendering in one phase. The whole thing seems a little ambitious with all of the competition for occupancy.

 

I totally understand! 2017 was going to be the first year that we would be able to go in May AND October. This has been my goal since we found Temptation...and now it will be closed lol
