Temptation Resort can't compete in the 5 star market even with upgrade

Who we want names now! LOL
We want to book sept or Oct for those that are left out already but still have a little party left in them.

Prices!!

I'm a premier member & after talking to the sales pitch people & staff.... Unfortunately they are going for a Desire like atmosphere. They are going to double the rates!!! LET ME REPEAT THIS.... DOUBLE THE RATES. They are saying that want to upgrade the hotel to match the food & staff which have been given a 5 star value... But the hotel is a 3 star. They believe/feel that if you want to come to TTR then you will buy into the premier membership giving you the better rates, rooms & amenities! I personally want to see what will happen when they reopen! I'll judge then!! Until then I'm closing it down in September with great friends, fun & SHENANIGANS!!!!

 

Are they doubling all the rates or just select rooms?

Steve said the older rooms won't go up that much, it's only the ones in the tower that are brand new that will double, which are the minority of rooms.

 

Won't surprise me if some rooms are much more. But overall I think this is nothing more than a sales tactic to get people to buy now over later. They'll say almost anything to get people to buy in.

 

looks like this august will be our last visit
the prices here in the uk for august 2017 are over double because of the upgrade

I don't believe the resort has even released new pricing yet so any pricing you're seeing is a travel agency basing everything on pure speculation.

 

I was told 500 @ night for garden view , but they did not speculate on age of room.


Of course they will try to get the 500, but when people don't go , they will lower the prices and or go bankrupt , change the name of the resort , and nullify all contracts .

also take into consideration salespeople are trying to scare you into purchasing a plan , at ''guaranteed rates'' which even a lot of members are skeptical about the wording in the contracts. , for example , rooms rates are guaranteed but not AI fees .

 

They can try for the big money but there is only one reason to stay on this area of the beach and if I'm paying premium dollars I want the big water with the beautiful color, a wider beach with powder white sand, some waves, AND the TTR party. The ONLY thing they have going is the party. None of the other exists at the TTR location. Sooner or later the market will decided what the resort can charge just as it has mandated in the past. If it all goes tits up (An odd saying for this place for sure!) the plan can collapse, there will be a fire sale, and it will get a new name again. It wouldn't be the first resort with big plans that didn't work. In the mean time, a year of construction will give us all plenty of time to find a new place to play and you can bet a loyal group like us who visit TTR (some several times a year) will be a valuable, welcome group to snag. Why wouldn't any other hotel struggling to find their niche welcome us with open arms? We're fun loving, we don't require much, and we generally look out for ourselves. All another resort needs to do is let the sexy, flirty games happen and we're a pretty content bunch. Give us a couple full bubba mugs, a swatch of gauze and string for a bikini, and we're good to go!

 

A complete shutdown is risky enough as it is... people WILL find other places to go! The risk compounds when you factor in the group mentality that dominates TTR (ie; April Addicts, etc.) To close for that long, and then re-open at significantly higher prices does not make sense IMHO. They will permanently lose some clientele just by being closed for so long, and than more with inflated pricing. Curiosity will probably draw a full house for the first month or so after re-opening, but in the long run, they may find it increasingly difficult to fill the increased capacity they are adding. I believe it is still very early, and other resorts have not necessarily decided if, one, they want to, and two, how they will go about trying to capture some of us disinfranchised TTR souls. Should be interesting!!!!
