There are liquor stores there. I'm pretty sure i saw restaurants and grocery stores. As long as they play music, I'll bring titties!
That's what I was told, at least for staff with more than 6 months service. TTR has a lot of staff who have been there many years and to get rid of them would cost more in redundancy pay than to keep them on the payroll. They would be free to seek other jobs during the shutdown, with their old job remaining open after the renovation. Some will be offered jobs at sister resorts and some will be offered construction type jobs.
I really cant see them running out of food or drink as the closing approaches, with a $40 Million spend I don't think they are too worried about having a couple of hundred dollars worth of food they have to throw away (or more likely give away). Don't know about you guys but if we are going away for a while and run out of fresh milk the day before we leave, we still go and buy some more even if we have to throw half away.
This was our first year at Temptation and I have to say that the entire staff was the best that we've ever encountered. I'm still in disbelief that they could remember what we liked to drink and even where we liked to sit in the restaurants! My corner bar doesn't give me that kind of attention! We booked the last week and having something to eat and drink is all we expect. If not we will hit the liquor store and the hell with eating. Not going to worry about an unknown.
100% this! With the wild crowd going that week who cares about running out of specific food and brands of booze. We can always run across the street to get more if we need it. The party will be incredible and the party is the main reason we all go. I love the staff and the service but the service is not the main thing that keeps us returning. It's the titties, sunshine and fun. They can't take that away from us! (Well not until they shut the place down)
Yes! I can't wait to see you guys again! I drink beer...if I can't find beer in Cancun then we ALL might be in trouble. LOL. We are going to have a great time with some amazing friends.
