Thought I would share... I inquired if TTR was going to honor Referrals already booked during the closing. Since I booked 4 plane tickets separately, which would mean I would miss the combined discount to change to another resort, I wanted to know if TTR would honor the reservation and move us. I am feeling a little better by the response. The response is as follows: Hola Tempest. Thanks for send us your concerns about our renovation plan. As a company we are very excited with this huge notice and with this renovation we have a lot of good things waiting for all our Premier members and regular guests. This make over is necessary for the hotel & TTR community, a lot a members and repeaters are sharing this vision with us we hope you can join us too. Everybody agree In order to be competitive in the market company have to make important improvements. Original resort have a unique concept and now we have to bring our facilities to the next level by doing this make over. Our resort are going to be out of operations 10 months only; please give us the opportunity to collect more information for you. In the meantime, during the renovations dates the resort will be completely closed but all reservations that are confirmed already will be relocated by the resort in other places in Cancun. The list of the resorts that Temptation will use to relocate you will be available shortly. The date of the closing is September 25 and will last for about 10 months. There is more information about the renovation here: HOME - Temptation Resort & Spa - askedquestions Best regards!
will be interesting to see what hotels are on the list for relocation, and whether they place you or you get your choice
U would think that TTR would have already had the relocation worked out. That all the complications created by TTR were not solved before their announcement seems very unfair for customers who had planned and prepaid in advance for their vacations. One major question by me is why would TTR accept these reservations when they were planning to close the resort down? My faith in TTR to make decisions that will put the needs of TTR customers first is falling by the day...
I bet they already have a plan in place but the plan in place and it wont be pretty. They probably worked a deal with some random resort that saves them the most possable money in the end.
Thanks a lot, you selfish jerk! :icon_wink: If they moved those of us who arrive on 7/15 to Desire, that would be okay.
I was told that by contract they are bound to book in the Cancun area at a comparable resort. Desire isn't in the Cancun area, according to the answer, so no bookings will be moved there. The list of hotels will not be out for "a couple of weeks". That was 4/27.
We were able to rebook our trip for earlier in Sept. But had to pay an extra 400.00 because of the airline. I'm in talks with TTR right now trying to get them to compensate us. They should have never allowed us to book past the 25th. Because of that we are out 400.00. Very frustrating.
