Ok seriously we go to TTR for the Party. We know the rooms are mediocre, the food is decent, the beach sucks. But the games, the nightlife, the late party and the overall fun is what makes us want to go back. We've met some great people over the years and want to keep meeting you! We are an average couple living on an average income and there is no way we will swing a 5 star resort. Even TTR at low season being $2600 for us for 7 days this fall is a stretch. We've never been to another resort like TTR, I call it our spring break for the middle aged. or older. lol I want to walk around see my wife relaxed and top off and I want to drop my shorts and party like it's 1985! Or something like that. So where will be the new meet up hotel? Location?:flagcanada::bootyshake:
All I have to say is... Dont worry something will surface. Either people are REALLY over estimating what the cost are going to be or another hotel that would like to break into the adult spring break scene will surface. Remember not only are we are going to be refugees but the entertainment staff is too. They have to go somewhere and we shall follow.
These are my feelings and concerns exactly. We, too, love the atmosphere, service, fun flirty vibe Temptation offers. And the guests are always nice to meet, every trip. We are trying 3 days at Desire RM and then 6 days at Golden Parnassus in August. We booked these before the announcement, with the intention of visiting Temptation in December. Hopefully GP will offer a similar vibe. Another option is Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica. It's clothing optional (some parts are naked required) But it's gotten great reviews and it isn't very expensive. We almost went there but chickened out LOL. We'll watch and see how it all plays out.
Prices seem to be on par with anything that calls themselves 5 start 300 to 500 a night. While TTR calls itselft 4 star they should remember we know its a 3 but pay for 4 because really there are a lot of places to go but this is the only one where we can have such great debauchery. Sue and I can be ourselves, I like to strut around naked and she likes to relax. By relaxed I mean trashed by 11am. lol
I have always said in the 15 times we have been there, Blue Bay club, Blue Bay Getaway and Temptations may come and go , it isnt the building that makes the party and the atmosphere, its the people, the staff, entertainment and the vibe and that can be put into any resort..So lets do that!!
It will be interesting for sure to see the outcome from the renovation at TTR. Hedonism II is in Jamaica, and it is very nice there but some people totally enjoy Cancun over other destinations. My understanding is the OASIS is the party place in Cancun more so for Springbreakers, but TTR gets those as well. Not promoting OASIS at all just saying, there are many adult resorts in Cancun and Maya like Breathless Resorts and Spas, Palace Resorts, The Royalton and so on
Well I may be new to Cancun but not new to the party. The hubby and I will be heading to the Golden Parnassus in 3 weeks. I will be happy to report back and let every know what the vibe is like before you book a stay there and are disappointed. It may not be the beloved TTR but as others have said. You can make it as close as possible. If they see there crowd is starting to change, they WILL change. Wish me luck on my first Cancun visit.
Maybe Steve should look at buying a hotel and going into the hotel business, as he surely gets what makes this group tick.
