When I was on Expedia it was saying there were 50 other people checking out TTR at the same time...I usually see 6-7 pple are...news of the closing has hyped it up!

I have a feeling you won't be alone in saying "F*ck it, we're going"..I've already heard of another couple that did that today. Going to be a great Last Blast for everyone!!

 

Bummed we won't see you this year!!

 

Dude...it is totally bumming me out, especially knowing the place as we know it is going to be gone. Would be great to have a last hurrah with the June Junkies, but we can't go till the very end of June. Maybe you guys can orchestrate a "TRACO Birthday Toast" when you are there and send us a pic?

Thanks for sharing the correspondence you got from TTR. Kind of bitter sweet. I often read in reviews how people wish the resort would improve on one thing or the other and at times I may agree. However, folks seem to fail to realize that improvements cost money, and at the end of the day those costs are transferred to the consumer one way or the other.

We're not ready to bail on TTR yet, but we're not very likely to consider a membership either until after the dust has settled. Coincidently, this was the year we were looking at joining the premier club.

I'd be interested to hear what TTR regulars are planning as an alternative for 2017, specifically during May-July, which is when we usually visit.

In the meantime, let's do 2016 like it's the last time!!!

 

I'm letting the dust settle before making plans for the June Junkies 2017. There is still some discussion about the TTR staff going to another resort to carry on the concept while we wait for the Grand Reopening. I was told yesterday that we should know something in a couple of weeks. Some others were told a few more days and the plan will be set. I'm planning to get through this June's party then planning will start for next June. I usually don't book dates or flights until after the first of the year. By that time I will have experienced the resorts alternative plan for TTR guests in October as I have a reservation during that time. I am still holding out hope that they are taking over another location to carry on the concept for the guests during the time of construction. There was big talk about this happening over the last year as told to me by a member of the Premier staff. We shall see.........NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT JUNE 2017 AT THIS TIME.........WE NEED TO PARTY OUR ASSES OFF IN 2016 LIKE NO OTHER!!!!!!

Maybe now that they have out out the official press release, attend a meeting and see if the money makes sense. If you can get grandfathered into a low per month payment, it might be better than them selling you at a possibly higher cost once the rebuilding is done.
