GP Review for March - Running out of beer!!! There is a disturbing GP Review on their forum which said the understaffed bar was running out of liquors and even regular beer!!! I can take less than perfect accomodations with the right (i.e. TTR) crowd but running out of booze is a definate no no. Also something about the owner dieing recently so that his kids are now running the resort. Hope this gets ironed out before we crown it to be the TTR refugee camp.
I think it's gonna take a couple test groups to decide with trip reports. Oasis sens at halloween and GP at halloween, splitting a couple groups of TTR people and seeing which group reaches critical mass first (I can't get Scotty's voice outta my head "captain, the buffet canna take that much bacon! She'll overload!") And makes it home along with which resort staff accepts the group and adjusts accordingly will win the day. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Does Grand Parnassus have a bar or place to dance at night. I know they probably don't have anything like Paty-O's, but not being able to dance at night may be a deal-breaker for us. I guess another possibility for us, at least this year, is move our dates up to early September, but they may be booked full already. Ahhh...life. Hahaha!
I'll call them and write a proposal to both GP and Oasis Sens tomorrow, and I will send it to the manager and reservations staff at both. One thing I was thinking to attract the TTR Premier members is to see if they would be willing to offer a discount for TTR members (a bit of a consolation prize to be sure but I am betting they would love to bring a few TTR members in the door) and a group discount for our monthly party groups. Sound like a good idea?
Grand Oasis Sens We just got back from a week at Grand Oasis Sens. We had a great time and met some great people. The vibe obviously isn't up to TTR standards but with the right people, I think it would work great. It's already topless friendly, has a dance club inside, stage for a band outside that rocked AC/DC while we were there, swim up bar, amazing beach, great pool areas, a foam party on Thursday's. Amenities are a step up from TTR and close to the airport. Just need the party groups to roll in.
I agree. Enough Temptation REFUGEES in any one place and we can have TTR anywhere. Old enough to know better, too young to care
