Now that the dust has settled (pun intended) on the news of the rebuild of TTR, reading everyone's thoughts, both pro and con, strengthens my love for the resort, but more importantly the passion of the people that go to TTR. WE the people make TTR what it is , not a bunch of concrete, chic decor, restaurants or "sensual minimalism". WE make the vibe, WE make the theme nights what they are. WE make the games fun and crazy. The only way that changes is if WE stop going. TTR is nothing but concrete, dirt, and a sand on a beach. WE are TTR. No one likes changes, even when we admit, the rooms need updated, plumbing in serious need of repair, etc. Looking at the design definitely creates a WTF are they doing to MY (we all feel a sense of ownership) resort moment. They only way it will never be our "old" TTR, is if we let new concrete and decor change the vibe that WE create. This is still "our" TTR just with new boobs and a face-lift. I look forward to seeing everyone at the new concrete place that will still be OUR TTR, unless we all stop going. Thanks for reading, have a great day.
Yeah, we're the same way. We would have probably tried Desire if it wasn't an extra $1000/week each to go. I guess we'll see what happens.
We are saying the same...where do we gather to be ourselves? Is there a new place...I hear Breathless is in the works and may be opening in October. ..that would be fun! Its not the concrete...its the people and they way we love to Party!! TAMI N KEVIN TTR APRIL 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 NOV 2015, JAN/FEB 2016 May 1st - MAY 10 2016
Asking 500 usd , and getting it is 2 different things,, I think they are way over confident in their figures .
Maybe it will be like those room rates on the back of the doors in some hotels. There will be rack rate(that nobody pays) and then all kinds of discounted rates that vary by season, occupancy etc
it will be interesting to see if any other resorts step up and try to fill the void left by TTR closing for a year and most likely going after a different clientele does leave a lot of people looking for a similar adult themed party resort at a similar rate as TTR currently is...
I seemed to miss where the $500/night is coming from. Did they announce that or is that just people's speculation?
What if they want to promote a classier place and not allow all the craziness anymore. The crazy fun is what we liked about it in the first place.
